Reeds Pharmacy
A pharmacist is usually available throughout opening hours to dispense NHS and private prescriptions and to offer advice on the use of your medicines. We keep medication records on our computers which ensure that your medicines are clearly labelled and carry relevant warnings. They also check new medicines to ensure that these do not interact with existing therapy.

We supply manufacturer's packs where available, complete with Patient Information Leaflets, and use child-resistant containers in other cases. These are not child-proof, so please keep them out of the reach of children. If you have trouble opening such containers, please tell us. If you have trouble remembering to take your medicines, we supply special packs at low cost that may help you.
Services
We are always willing to give advice to our patients. Obviously this is easier to do if you are regular customers and we therefore know what other medication you are taking. We have two private consultation rooms. The smaller one is alongside the dispensary and is designed for interviews. If you have something private you want to discuss there, please ask.
We believe that providing health advice to patients is an important part of a pharmacist's role. We will try to help if we can, but there are some limitations we have to request. We are limited in the advice we can give people who are not our patients when we have no medicines history. We are not permitted to give detailed advice on veterinary medicines and as a general rule we cannot recommend medicines for people we have not seen or spoken to.
If your GP is based in Truro we are happy to take your prescription requests to the surgeries and collect them for dispensing. We need authorisation from you on the first occasion so that the surgery knows that you have agreed to our collecting your prescriptions. If you wish, we can keep your repeat slips in the pharmacy and you can then order your repeat medications by phone, on our out of hours answerphone, or by e-mail.
The Globe came with a working kitchen upstairs. This has allowed us to create The Old Globe Bistro where you can enjoy coffee, tea, light lunches and special evening functions as advertised. Christian, Kerensa and Phil will look forward to greeting you. Aside from very good coffees and teas and some excellent cakes and snacks, they offer free wi-fi to customers.

I went to get my covid jab and the whole team were lovely about my phobia of needles. I wish I had looked at their name tags to mention them but everyone was amazing. The experienced nurse made sure it didn't hurt at all and the pharmacist gave me a great recommendation for travel sickness medication for the way home.

I chose to get all my prescriptions from here and it's a decision that I have never regretted. They are both highly efficient and extremely helpful. In fact, when my prescription didn't arrive at the Pharmacy, Mr Reed phoned the GP himself to sort it out! I am both admiring and very grateful for all they have done. Thank you Reeds.

Went for booster, online says 30-45 mins foe appointments which is fine. However it Takes 45 mins to queue to get into the building, then its 45 mins from there. Maybe they need to put a sign up saying approx wait time so people who have work can make an informed decision. Got to front of queue to be told 45 mins to wait again, daughter had work so had to walk out.
Lady said they were unendated with people, which is fine but maybe the pharmacy
shouldn't release so many appointments for each slot? Restrict them like the other vaccination places so people can get in and out fast to keep the queue

Arrived 10 mins before my appointment waited an hour with the queue not moving but growing, what appeared to be a nurse kept coming out with a clip board counting and shaking her head. Shambles.

My husband and I received our 1st COVID vaccine at Reeds Pharmacy today. It was an easy and painless process in a friendly, clean and comfortable environment. The staff and volunteers are running a completely well-oiled machine, totally efficient with all social distancing and disinfecting protocols in place. We look forward to returning for our 2nd vaccination in June.
