I have worked within the transport industry since my Army days in 1996 and joined the recruitment industry in 2003. I have worked in the transport sector for 15 years and I have gained a lot of knowledge whilst in the roles as a Class 1 driver, Recruitment Consultant and Transport Manager. I have worked with Velocity for many years and finally joined the exciting expanding team in 2018 and enjoy the daily challenges.
Velocity specialise in what we know best, recruitment. We put 100% into our clients' needs by tailoring our services to you and acting on your staffing requirements. We will keep in contact with all of our clients, from the check-in of the worker at the start of the shift until the end of the day. Velocity undertakes CV sifting / Telephone Screening / Face to Face interviewing / Short Listing and Reference Checking.
LGV and PCV drivers must take 35 hours of periodic training in every 5 year period. All of our courses are in 7-hour blocks and have been approved by JAUPT. Once a driver has attended the full 35 hours of training, a new DCPC card will be issued for a further 5 years. We run a course every 4-6 weeks, Monday to Saturday, at our training facility in Sunderland; a driver can attend any of these days as required.
Velocity Transport Solutions Ltd provides complete haulage solutions to the North East of England and customers further afield. Utilising our modern fleet of tractor units, we can provide traction only, or the complete train should you require. Launched in 2016, using our own units manned with our own full-time and part-time drivers, the company has continued to thrive and grow.
