Services
At Wm Spence we offer a full in house design service with our team of experienced Design Engineers. They facilitate our customers in whatever their requirements may be; whether it's working from drawings, hard-copy, files, reverse engineering samples or just a concept that needs our expert advice to turn an idea into a physical product.
Wm Spence provides a high precision laser cutting service with our Bystronic By Sprint 4020 6KW Fibre machine. This state-of-the-art flatbed laser cutting machine has a cutting range of 4000mm x 2000mm and is environmentally friendly with an increased cutting speed over traditional CO2 lasers whilst also offering an overall increased cut quality.
Here at WM Spence we utilise the latest CNC press brakes which allows us to produce very accurate, complex and quality parts. Our largest Press brake has a 200 tonne capacity with a 4 metre long working bed and the hydraulic bending technology it employs, enables the highest demands to be achieved for the production of sheet metal parts for a wide range of applications in both light and heavy gauge sheet metal.
In 1974, WM Spence was established as a fabrication workshop and although we have added new technologies and techniques over the years, fabrication is still at the heart of the company. Through our ongoing apprenticeship scheme, that's been in place since our inception, the fundamental skills of being a sheet metal worker have been passed down through the generations.
At Wm Spence we can achieve metal surface finishes to meet any of our customer requirements with our highly skilled in-house polishing department, whether it's fettled, acid cleaned, dull polished or a highly polished mirror finish. We can offer Powder Coating in a wide range of RAL and Pantone colours and finishes including Satin, Gloss, Matt, Polyester, Leatherette, Texture etc.
