The Oxford Arms is nestled in Kington, a small peaceful town, in rural Herefordshire, it dates, in parts back to the 17th Century, it is mainly a timber frame and stone building that has been added to over the years and in Victorian times the front facade was added. There is still a lot of timber inside however which gives you a real feel for its age.

The Oxford Arms is the perfect place to enjoy wholesome home-made traditional pub food in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Drinkers and diners can choose to sit in our more traditional homely pub bar or our warm more comfortable lounge bar.

Not the first time we have stayed here (!) and it won’t be the last. Clean, cosy, comfortable rooms. Great food and drink, and very friendly waiting staff, Fred is a gem!

I was staying elsewhere for the walking festival in Kington in September 2021
I used tis for an evenings entertainment (80s night) and also after a walk on the Sunday and being such a nice day we were able to sit out in the garden for our drinks
Great location in the centre of Kington and not far from the main bus stop and shops

Top marks for the beer (not a huge choice but what's there is kept well). Great atmosphere. Friendly company. Brilliant landlord.

Classic old fashioned English country pub. Basic but with everything you need! The staff are friendly and the meal portions huge. I really appreciated that they had multiple vegetarian options as well

Food and liquid nourishment are good unfortunately the building and the room inside leaves a lot to be desired especially the mens toilet.

Landlord is extremely friendly and welcoming. Had a delicious meal - nothing pretentious - good honest fare cooked and seasoned to perfection. Couldn't have asked for better. If you are walking the Offa's Dyke Path as we were, then cannot recommend highly enough!
