Left my wallet in a hire car was told three times in two weeks that my wallet was not in the car that they do a deep clean of the car with covid, 2 weeks later give up and have to get a new licence and other cards sorted, a week later receive a phone call say we found your wallet inside the hire car after some one else had it on a rental agreement (I always leave my wallet in plain sight in the car) so doubt deep cleaning of the rental/hire cars are properly done or they higher stevie wonders to do it. To make matters better get told I will receive a phone before closing to go and collect my wallet

Our Europecar vehicle was brought here on a truck when it got a flat tire in Tintagel. We were visiting from San Francisco on vacation.
After calling the help number on our agreement we waited 5 hours for a tow truck. We'd call every 90 minutes or so and be assured one would be on it's way in around 45 minutes.
The worst was yet to come,when we arrived, eventually at the Europecar office, an individual calling himself Alex, TOLD us to DRIVE the vehicle to a tire repair shop.. this was around 6.30pm on a Saturday night.
According to him there were no cars available.

We had a very good experience last weekend when we hired a car from Europcar at Newquay Airport. We were given an upgrade - a virtually brand new car - and treated liked truly valued customers, even though it was our first time there. The staff were most courteous and friendly, and the office is very conveniently located right outside the terminal building. Only one criticism: I needed a quick run-through of the operation of this car as it had much more up to date features than my own. I found a staff member in the car park and he demonstrated what I needed to be shown, so that was fine, but
