The David Bolwell Physiotherapy Services clinic in Whitchurch is located in the sports and leisure area of the Village Hotel Cardiff. I started going to have acupuncture with David after I was recommended to go and see him by a friend.
It's important to start physiotherapy immediately after surgery, or once a fracture has been 'reduced' (i.e. when the bones are realigned and stabilised). After surgery, or once your fracture has united, our physiotherapy team will devise a programme that's designed to progress your rehabilitation appropriately.
Persistent headaches can also cause anxiety and worry, even impacting one's confidence and self-esteem. If you are experiencing a persistent headache that's not responding to painkillers, you should first see your GP. Cervicogenic / Tension Headaches - Pain is felt on one side of the head (or sometimes both sides), radiating from the back of the skull to just above the eyes.
Ligaments that support a joint becoming sprained due to a rapid movement that takes the joint beyond its normal range of movement (for example, going over on your ankle, or your knee being pushed too far during a tackle). A direct blow (such as a kick) to soft tissue will result in bruising However, depending on the depth of the injured tissue, the discolouration that's normally associated with bruising may not be immediately apparent.

I was recommended to see David by several people. For years I had suffered with lower back and hip pain. After just 4 sessions - 2 of manipulation and 2 of acupuncture, I am now pain free! I only wish I had known about him years, ago! David is a lovely man, chatty and amiable and extremely knowledgeable.I plan to see him again in the New Year to get some help with my knee! I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you David

Seldom feel the urge to write a review but I have to share my experience in the hope that others who are suffering will get the same relief that I have. I suffered terribly with a neck issue from training which I'd ignored but deteriorated into a very debilitating state and started causing cervicogenic headaches which really knocked me for six. David provided me with a huge amount of relief from the very first session & now 4 weeks into treatment I can honestly say that I feel like a new man. Headaches have gone and my mobility has returned. The man is a wizard and I cannot recommend him enough

I went to see David for shoulder pain He told me what the problem was and set me on the path to recovery - every week for 4 weeks tweaking my treatments to get me back where I wanted to be. David was fantastic - so knowledgeable and very professional and made sure I understood all the advice and treatment and put me at ease.. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him- he’s the best physio I’ve been to

I'm a performer and suddenly developed an agonising pain in my lower back following a series of shows, making it impossible to continue performing. David was recommended to me, and I'm so glad he was. After just 2 mins of examining me, he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and started working on the problem. I knew he was right because the moment he started manipulating the area, I could feel all the nerves that had been playing up. I followed all of his exercise guidance and after just 3 sessions with him, I am feeling utterly pain free again! He is friendly, chatty and professional and

After experiencing pain in my chest for the past few years, with the help of my partner, I realised the pain was actually due to something going on with my spine. I decided the best thing to do was seek professional help and chose David as his practice is local and the reviews were 5 star. I was able to get an appointment quickly and was pleased he identified the problem, giving me plenty of information and guidance along with massage therapy. I would thoroughly recommend him.
