The Crown and Anchor is a family run pub with bed and breakfast, located in the heart of Manchester's vibrant Northern Quarter. We are a stones throw from Manchester Piccadilly and close to so many of the city's attractions: Ethiad Stadium, Manchester Arena, Manchester Apollo, just 15 minutes from Old Trafford.

With world-class shopping at the Arndale and close to the Printworks and Spinningfields all of Manchesters bars and restaurants are within easy reach. We boast a large outside beer garden and roof terrace - the ideal place to relax. The bar offers a good selection and cask ales draught beers/lagers bottled beers and wine/spirits.

Got no sleep as my bed was broken, it had a hole in the middle of it which you sunk into and they were aware of it as they had attempted to fill it with towels, which didn't help. Also theres a pipe in the room that rumbles all night very loudly. There was also a floorboard in the corridor which when stepped on moved my friends bed in our room which was odd. Could hear every footstep and word said in the corridor. Then a dog started barking loudly first thing in the morning. Safe to say none of us got any sleep. Definately over priced for one of the worst places I've stayed. Almost felt like a

Traditional cosy pub with a nice private terrace where it's allowed smoking. Heaters in the terrace so very convenient for winter

Very poor service... Had booked and wanted to extend visit but no one was available on numerous occasions on the phone to confirm... Ended up staying elsewhere... I'm convinced its basically a pub with a few rooms and that the phone is answered by bar staff who haven't a clue... I'd probably avoid tbh...

We came for brunch on a Sunday morning. Lovely bit of terrace in the sun, on the street and away in the beer garden. Bread and bowl concept seems nice, not too expensive. Good vegan options. However slow service, no NHS QR code, orders got mixed up (table of 2), no decaf, no plant based milk.

Doesn't look great from the outside, but inside us a different story. A lovely old pub, friendly staff who are attentive, decent prices with a great little beer garden. Will definitely be going in again.
