We are serving in our main restaurant as well as our conservatory (all sides open, heated and covered). The council have inspected and are happy that this is safe and in full compliance with the latest rules. Our new restaurant, open 7 days a week, on Poole Quay, offers a different, more relaxed, dining experience.
Reg, Lorenzo and the rest of our new team at the Lounge will welcome you with Guildhall standards of food and service, whilst we continue to serve you, exactly as before, at the Guildhall Tavern. Our French seafood restaurant in Poole in Dorset, is located just two minutes from the Quay in the heart of the old town.

Services
The Guildhall Tavern restaurant, set in the heart of the Old Town of Poole in Dorset, has been run by Frederic and Severine since 2000. Thankyou for looking after us so well (as always) last night. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the wonderful French atmosphere you have created in this little corner of England.
Tables are now available in our main restaurant and in our conservatory, all sides open, heated and covered. Guildhall Tavern is normally closed on Sundays and Mondays but Guildhall Lounge is open Wednesday to Sunday. We do however currently have availability for this time at our new restaurant Guildhall Lounge.
We are located less than a minute's walk from Poole Guildhall Registry Office in the heart of Poole Old Town and offer great food and service to make your wedding day extra special. At present, due to the unforseeable future, wedding reception are limited to no more than 16 guests, to be held in our private rooms upstairs and a-la-carte only.

We ate here a month ago and have to say we were disappointed. We both had turbot which supposedly is as good as white fish gets. We were served however small triangular fillets with thick greasy skin on one side - I'm afraid to say the look was not attractive, the taste impacted merely by the appearance. My starter was a double-baked cheese souffle which in all honesty was like a large lump of cheese with little about it that appeared souffled. So, sorry to go against the crowd and we'd been expecting great things but were sadly disappointed.

Glorious! We absolutely love this restaurant - great service (staffs were all smiles and personable), food are absolutely divine (chef showcase cooking technique and executed the dishes really well), family friendly (really good quality kids menu with proper vegetable sides included), baby friendly (baby change facilities included). It’s just an all rounded, good quality seafood restaurant. We would totally come back here again when we visit Poole again. Try it to know it!

Absolutely perfect.
I have lived in Poole 9 years now and i have only just visited today. I had a wonderful experience. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff to me and the other fellow customers. Well staffed too which meant a quick and friendly service. Very good waitering skills. There celebrating our wedding anniversary.
We had the fish soup for starters, a beautiful white wine which was a substitute for the one i chose but he priced matched. I had the halibut wrapped in pancetta which was perfectly done. My wife had the fish mornay dish (cant remember the proper name). Both dishes came with a

Great good. Plenty of choice on the menu, both meat and fish. A set menu for lunch which is excellent value. Fresh fresh cod, succulent. Outstanding service. A French owned run restaurant given my that special extra flair. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Starters and deserts to absolutely die for.

This is a very popular restaurant so we were lucky to get a last minute table. It was recommended to us and we are glad we went, the menu in my opinion is perfect, not too big but still lots of choice. The welcome we received was amazing, we assume the gentleman who served us was one of the owners, he was very friendly and recommended some drinks for us. The whole experience was fantastic and I just wish we were locals!
