Following Government guidelines, the surgery has now reopened. We are initially prioritising those with the most urgent dental needs, with a view to resume routine dental care as soon as we can. Although our practice has reopened, please note it will not be business as usual. The treatments you are offered may be different to those you received before, depending on staff and personal protection equipment ( PPE ) available.
It will take some time before services return to what you previously experienced as normal. Please be patient with us while we work towards resuming normal dental services in a safe environment. We no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

Services
We would like to make your first visit to the practice as pleasurable as possible. You will be greeted by one of our reception team who will ask you for your medical history form. You may find it easier if you download the form and bring it with you for your first appointment. If you have any problems filling in your forms, we will give you all the help you need.
Our practice policy aims to provide dental care of a consistently high quality for all our patients. Our aim is to guide you on the most effective ways of preventing and controlling dental disease for you and your family. With your co-operation we aim to improve your smile while maintaining your ability to eat with efficiency and comfort.
I've have been with the practice many years however not been for years if you understand me! ( I'm scared of the dentist) So I started with a sore tooth and braved the dreaded Dentsist well as I'd not been for so long it had all changed and I have had a lovely new dentist who has made me feel so relaxed, I don't mind the dentist anymore they're welcoming understanding and helpful.
A comprehensive medical history is always taken first, so that we can take care of you while providing dental treatment. It is absolutely crucial that we know all your medical conditions as well as any medication you may be on as this may affect your dental treatment. In order to discuss your problems and the treatments you require we may use digital X rays as well as digital photography.
Decay may or may not cause discomfort; even though it doesn't hurt, the tooth is deteriorating. Cavities can develop from the biting surface of the tooth (occlusal surface) or from the surfaces between the teeth (interproximal surface). Using higher magnification and powerful lighting, it is easier to detect decay at an early stage to prevent excessive tooth damage.

Such poor customer service, honestly. I got some composite bonding done in 2019 to close a gap and the surface of the tooth after it was done was a bit rough and lumpy - my dental floss still gets stuck till this day because the teeth are poorly finished - but I couldn’t be bothered to go back at the time.

I usually see Dr J Shah, and she always gives great service!
During Covid I started getting a stain in the front of my tooth which made me very self conscious, and due to restrictions and the dentist being closed I couldn't see anyone. However, once they opened, I made my visit and Dr J Shah sorted it all out!
I am a very happy customer who can now smile more confidently!
Defo recommend :)

Absolutely appauling service. One of the doctors is very arrogant. We called to get an emergency appointment, the dentist calls back 3 hours later just to say "you haven't come here recently so we won't see you". That's appauling especially as this was an emergency appointment which we found out at another practice was a root canal and needed to be treated urgently. Would not recommend them at all. Need to work ok customer service and people skills.

Very pleased with the service I received. Called in the morning as I had pain from a tooth, dentist called me back and I had appointment booked for during the week. They sent all the information to me by email and advised me off all the precautions they are taking due to COVID19. I have been coming here for years and have always been pleased with the service. Very professional and caring. Shocked by the bad reviews left by others as they do not reflect the excellent service which Cape House always provides.

I'm very lucky to have Dr Heewa as my dentist. He has been looking after my teeth very well and I have full confidence in him, as he is very specific about explaining every procedure of my successful treatments. He keeps me calm during all of my appointments & treatments, and answers all of my questions. I’m extremely happy with all the care I have received and I definitely recommend this practice. I would give beyond 5 stars if it was possible!!

That’s pity I did not found zero star or negative rating for this experience.
Cut story short is I returned after 2 months as my tooth pain to cold exposure would not wear away following a filing back in June now to be told that the filling is too close to the nerve and only option would be to remove the filling to place lining at the bottom , even is not 100% secure and eventually will need a root canal treatment.
And to top it up I was asked to pay again for band 1 NHs , for the consultation even though the treatment plan has not been finalised.
What a joke. NHS dentist. They don’t work
