Hi I'm Alan, I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety. I decided to train to become a driving instructor because I wanted a job with real satisfaction and there is nothing better than seeing someone pass their test first time. I was also always being told by friends and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person and that I would make a great Driving Instructor.
I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard. I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD System allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you.

All the courses shown use the unique LD System of driving tuition. Details about each of these services is described below with advice on how to decide which service would best suit you and for the prices or information on how to book one of these courses please visit the prices page.
Please note taking a course does not guarantee that you will pass, however, if you successfully complete all the targets in the LDC workbook it is highly probable that you will.Learning to drive, using the LD System, can be spread over several weeks and lessons can be booked individually or in a block at a discount.

The pass plus course is designed by the DVSA in association with the Insurance and driving instruction industries for those people who have passed their test and is aimed at speeding up your driving experience. There are 6 subjects covered these are motorway driving, dual carriageways, adverse weather conditions, country roads, night driving and busier town driving.
Let me introduce the unique Learner Driving tuition system (LD System), a system that has been designed for maximum progress and ease of learning. Alright driving instructor, but takes ages to teach you anything... Feels like he's doing everything as slow as possible so he could get more money put of me... And always cancels lessons,always comes up with excuses like he is ill, something is up with a car etc....

Passed my test first time today with Alan. Having had bad experience in the past, Alan was very quick to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Thoroughly enjoyed every lesson. He was more than happy to help with areas where i struggled until i got it right. Very pleasant to talk to and a really nice guy. Would definitely recommend Alan to anyone wanting to learn to drive. Can never have a lesson when you want one. When you do book a lesson he makes excuses up saying that he is ‘ill’ or something is wrong with his car. I have been with him since may last year and i’ve only done 23 hours with him. I am finding somebody else who can actually do a lesson when I can and can fit me in every week.

I had this instructor and he was appalling. He suggested a home visit when we first spoke on the phone so i took him up on the offer so my parents could meet him. He was like butter wouldnt melt with them. But when we had lessons he was nasty to me which I was quite shocked about as he was so nice with my parents, it was like he was two different people. He would expect me to know everything about cars and if i didnt know he would get angry with me. If i did manoeuvres wrong he would raise his voice at me even though he was supposed to be learning me how to do them seems though thats what i pay

This is a poor driving school. They take there pupils on the main roads during rush hour traffic putting them under enourmous amounts of pressure so early on in their driving career. I don't think he thinks of how this affects other drivers on the road when they are pulling out of junctions and driving 20mph on main roads. I don't want my son driving 20mph on main roads and not been able to pull out of main road junctions until he's had enough lessons and is confident.
