Clifford Forge House is a 17th Century Manor House, located in over an acre of its own private gardens.
It has been extensively refurbished specifically to provide superb facilities for the care and education of our children. Our nursery school was founded in 1990, by the current Principal, Julie Williams. Welcome to Freshfields Nursery School where we pride ourselves on ensuring that every child is nurtured to reach their full potential in a fun and exciting environment. The nursery is based in an impressive Georgian house, and a custom designed Coach House and is set in an idyllic, rural location near to Clifford Chambers, on the B4632 Shipston Road (approximately 1.5 miles from Stratford upon Avon Town Centre).
Freshfields Nursery School offers a welcoming, caring and secure family atmosphere of warmth, trust and friendliness where all children are valued as unique individuals with differing requirements. Our setting is a happy, stimulating and enriching one in which each child can develop and grow in all areas.
At Freshfields Nursery we are very proud of our Education and Care team. Some of our Nursery Practitioners have been members of staff for over ten years; we believe this to be testament to the caring family atmosphere at the nursery, and to our team's genuine commitment to the care and development of all our children.
Freshfields Nursery School is conscious of environmental issues and is working in partnership with the local community and County Council. The Travel Plan aims to reduce congestion around the nursery and decrease the number of cars travelling to and from the nursery day to day. This ensures our nursery is a cleaner, healthier and safer environment for the whole community.
We are very proud of the level of care and education that we provide at Freshfields Nursery School, and we are as equally proud of our team of professional, dedicated and caring staff. For my oldest daughter, it set her in great stead for starting school, she had a wonderful time in pre school with Freshfields, benefiting from the superb facilities and excellent staff who nurtured her social and educational development.

Our daughter has had an amazing experience at Freshfields. In the four rooms she has been in from 11 months old to 4 years old she has always had amazing staff, great friends and plenty of space (indoor and outdoor) to develop and play in. We would have been so sad that she’s left for primary school if it wasn’t for the fact that our son is now about to start. Highly recommended!
