Yellow lentils cooked with Indian spices and finished with a tarka of onions, tomatoes, cumin and crushed coriander. A sharp, yet subtle tanginess is the distinctive flavour that characterises this fish curry with its perfect combination of tamarind, spices and tomato. Chicken, Lamb or prawns cooked with Tangy black peppers as the main ingredient & grinded cashew nuts, harmonized by cream to created a perfect balanced medium curry sauce.

Myself and a couple of friends visited this restaurant for my friend’s 22nd birthday. This was our very first time eating at Santhi but decided to book this place as the aroma whenever we walked past on Granby st was always amazing.
When we arrived we were greeted promptly and sat down at our table which was nice however it took them over 10 minutes to hand us a menu and that’s only after we asked. The restaurant was not busy and only had 3-4 tables or so. One thing I noticed on the menu is that there is a compulsory minimum spend of £10 per customer which I think it a bit ridiculous as many

I love this restaurant, I used to live there for a short while and went here when I first moved and never bothered trying anywhere else in the city centre area (there are great restaurants on Melton Road too however but its a little further up). The staff are so friendly but not overbearing or pushy, they leave you to it but are attentive at the right moments and the food is great! Miss it!
