Appleyards Removals was established in the late 1800's in Conisbrough by the great, great grandfather of the current directors, Harry and John Appleyard who took over the business in 1976. In 1981 we built the first purpose built warehouse in Rotherham and subsequently developed our self storage and document storage sections thereafter.
In the same year we were asked to join Britannia Movers International, making us one of the first of the forty-one current members of the Britannia co-operative. We are very quality orientated therefore your move and recommendation means everything to us and you will often find us working out of hours to make sure your move goes completely to plan.

Services
Britannia Appleyards recommends a visit from one of our surveyors for all moves to assess the volume of goods you want to move, packing requirements and answer any questions that you may have, our aim is to make you as comfortable as possible with every aspect of your move and help you prepare for your moving day.
Vehicles serviced every two to three weeks rather than the ten week period allowed by VOSA. Vehicles serviced in own workshops and all waste materials disposed of by certified companies. New vehicles can take up to thirteen months to plan and build and during this time we try to spec the most efficient and environmentally advanced truck possible.

Below are the sizes and dimensions of the most commonly used containers to ship household goods and personal effects. It is worth remembering that the Cubic Capacity stated is the maximum, when loading household goods and personal effects allow 10% reduction in capacity. When planning an international move, most of our customers are keen to know how long it will take the consignment to reach its destination.
