Duncreggan House PLEASE NOTE: our reviews were given when the house was run as a B&B and it is now available for self-catering only. Welcoming hosts who were very generous with their time and answered countless questions about the property and locality.
A fascinating Victorian house to stay in, with just a hint of intrigue surrounding its use by the US Navy allies during 1960's and '70's Polaris fleet era - who was watching who was watching when etc etc. Generous breakfast portions and huge choice, including home made jams, marmalades, breads etc.The breakfasts were delicious and generous, with home made bread and jam, fresh fruit, eggs any way you wish!.

The Duncreggan House is a lovely and quaint guest house upon a hill overlooking the loch. The view from the conservatory is stunning! Our hosts, Mick and Susanna were welcoming and hospitable. They offered suggestions of things to do and were very knowledgeable of the area. There were sweet, thoughtful amenities we were not expecting such as wine and chocolate in our room upon arrival. Our room was comfy, the shower was hot and soothing and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing respite from the hustle and

The room we had was lovely, the owners did all they could for us, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good, exactly as we asked for. The location is a little remote, but that's more about the nature of the surrounds than the house itself. You don't get a night away in rural Scotland without it being somewhat remote! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back again.
