We, Peter & Wendy Aldiss are a multigenerational Marlow family having first settled in Marlow over thirty years ago. After various local moves and businesses, we finally settled at Monkton Barn in 2003. Turning off the beaten track into Monkton Lane, with a tunnel of overhanging trees, we wondered what we would find.
Introducing our beautiful Barn and its extensive grounds, situated in the Buckinghamshire countryside. As a family-run business, we aim to be the most friendly, flexible and helpful hosts for your wedding, and we take enormous pride in helping you bring your plans to life. We want you to enjoy the entire wedding planning journey; from your initial enquiry, through to the big day itself- and all the fun stuff in between.
Monkton's Rustic Table is our new country kitchen and micro-brewery, based onsite at Monkton Barn. Headed by Executive Chef James Knight, we are so excited about this new addition to our offering, which enables a seamless planning process for our clients to discuss, choose and taste their food and drink at the venue.

Monkton Barn hosted our wedding and the whole day/night was an absolute dream. I cant recommend Monkton Barn enough if you are looking for a wedding or party venue. The team there are fantastic and so helpful. The venue is just beautiful, the food is delicious. 10/10 guys, you done such an amazing job. We are still on cloud 9 after a perfect day.

We had our wedding here after a year's delay due to Covid - it was an absolutely wonderful day and the Monkton team did everything they could to ensure our vision was realised. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly, the day ran smoothly and it was exactly how we wanted it. Big thank you to Peter, Gabriella and James who brought our festival wedding to life! We're sure we'll be back to support their events or for further family get togethers in the future!

We recently enjoyed a family celebration for our 25th Wedding Anniversary & Double Graduation at Monkton Barn.
The service was outstanding, with Gabriela's event management making the preparation & execution of a large event very smooth & Cosmin, James & the entire staff supporting us our & our guests very professionally on the night. Everyone paid great attention to the details that made all the difference to us.
The venue is beautiful, the ambience just perfect, the food was delicious & the bar was generously stocked, to meet the needs of everyone we had invited - across a wide age range.

What a fabulous evening we had at Monkton Barn on Thursday - Paul Jones’ Big Band Blues were amazing! The food was yummy ( including the veggie option ) with lovely touches such as the chocolates in a tall glass at the end
As for the 17 piece band and Paul Jones - just amazing ! What an incredible sound

We got married at Monkton just over two years ago. Below is what we wrote in the guest book at I thought it should really be left here as well! Couldn't recommend Peter and his team enough!
Thank you so much for hosting the best day of our lives (so far!). All of our guests have already said how much they enjoyed every minute – the sun was shining (a miracle!), and we even got to play our beloved cricket on the meadow.
