Under the latest government rules you may pay Stamp Duty at several different rates, depending on the purchase price. Under the old rules, there were several different Stamp Duty rates, but you as a homebuyer, paid the same rate on the whole purchase price. Under the new LBTT system buyers pay tax on amounts between bands, not on the full purchase price of a property.

We had a fantastic experience with Dey King and Haria and completed our purchase in a record time (2 months). DKH and Sam made what is normally a stressful process, straight forward and painless. Sam went above and beyond what you would expect of an estate agent, even going so far as negotiating with third parties to keep things on track to meet the stamp duty increase deadline. We can’t recommend DKH enough and will definitely be using DKH for future sales, purchases and renting.

I don't want to make this review so good that it appears unbelievable but the service we received from DKH has been unbelievable. Sam Dey has been brilliant. His communication style, professionalism and attention to us and the detail has been second to none. He immediately put us at ease, explained the process in our language and was always contactable for the smallest of enquires. The video and photos of our house were so good we wondered why we were selling. The house sold in and instant during which the process was expertly handled and managed to aplomb. I'm writing this review on a sunny morning as I sit in my lovely new house, and I'm here thanks to the wonderful team at Dey King and Haria. Samuel and Samantha have been an absolute pleasure to work with, from the initial valuation right through to completion. Fast, efficient (but always friendly) I would recommend them highly if you want a proactive and professional service. Selling a leasehold flat during lockdown was no easy task yet they managed to make it look easy!

First class service from Dey King and Haria. The one thing you need when you are buying and selling a property is a first rate estate agent and that is Sam Dey. He has been the hub, working between both solicitors, the vendor and our buyer. Any concerns we had were answered immediately on the phone or by email.
