After nine years of successfully growing our business in Retford, we expanded with the opening of our second self storage facility in Gainsborough. We are proud to be the only storage site in the area regulated by the Self Storage Association (SSA). Safely storing your items has never been easier, with our conveniently located facilities and our wide range of competitively priced storage options in 240 storage units.
The Hive Self Storage Ltd are members of the Self Storage Association (SSA). There is a European Standard that specifies minimum conditions for security and customer protection. All SSA members must meet this standard to maintain their membership. As SSA members we also require all stored contents to be insured.
Store your caravan, motorhome, boat, motorbike, trailer or car securely and conveniently at The Hive Self Storage facility in Retford with easy access from the A1. Access the site 7 days a week to collect or return your vehicle and use our free designated caravan service and rinse area. Caravan and Vehicle storage at The Hive Retford has been awarded the top GOLD standard by the Caravan Storage Site Owners Association (CaSSOA).
You can hire our Luton van with handy tail-lift or our popular LWB Ford Transit Van with high roof, rear and side doors - both at competitive prices on a self drive basis. All our vans can be driven with a standard UK car driving license. To help your removal go smoothly we have sack trucks, transit blankets and straps available for hire, as well as a wide range of boxes and packaging to protect your items.

The Hive was a real lifesaver for me. I was downsizing from a large family home into a small bungalow, I had also recently lost my husband. I found all the staff at the hive, helpful and supportive at all times. I never felt scared or lonely when I was sorting through my stuff thanks to the high level of security. Thank you ladies you made a difficult time less difficult.

This week yet again has on numerous occasions for my businesses Prime Gym Services and AB Leisure Services I have hired a Luton van from the Hive and has always the staff are pleasant, helpful and efficient in the handling of my requirements. I get work through daily and this can be a real pain when needing a hire vehicle without notice but they handle it with calm and efficiency and never let me and more importantly my clients down. The ease of the hire is that the vehicle comes full of fuel which when you are hitting deadlines and time scales is brilliant then you just have to return the vehicle
