Services
My grandad started the business in the 50's then Dad started on his own as an Agricultural Ironmonger in 1961. I joined in 1991 after doing my degree in Aberystwyth Uni. It was supposed to be a temporary measure till I found another job, but almost three decades later I'm still here! We truly are a family business and have had to move with the times, it hasn't been easy but we are still going and I'm really proud of taking the business forward.
Here at Derwas of Welshpool we can install a woodburning or multi-fuel stove just about anywhere, below are a few of the different ways we can install a stove and make sure that it's all safe and secure. After what had initially been an excellent purchase & fit if a flavel multi fuel burner, the after sales customer service has been non existent literally. Installed at beginning of year informed of an issue within 2 weeks of instal just been told today ( 11th Octoberafter lots of calls and visits to showroom by us ) that it’ll cost us about £1000 to put it right!!! It has taken 8 months for them to give us this price ( even though they surveyed the site before installing)

The folks at Derwas did not have it easy and yet they did it.
We wanted a particular stove and after munching endlessly on Martin’s ear he found us the one. We (I say we but it was really my partner) proved to be demanding customers and Martin accommodated us with the patience of saint. They then brought our Esse Ironheart up a treacherous and steep path up a hill, to our isolated cottage. Craig, Scotty and Artur battled our door frames to get our beautiful stove in (and it really was touch and go) yet, they did it. I really can't praise Derwas enough. We are thrilled with the service provided by them, Kaye and Mike have been nothing but helpful throughout the entire process. Scotty the installer was just fantastic - both stove installs were finished to an exceptional standard - we had one new install and one total re-build. All of the correct paperwork was handed over and a full tutorial on their operation was given.
We are now looking forward to Winter for the first time ever!

Excellent advice and commitment from Derwas on a very challenging project. The fitters did a very professional clean job and obviously care about what they are doing. Extra time was carved out for the unforseen work needed, and I was happy to trust the team and leave them unsupervised. The advice on the stove itself was very thorough. Hugely recommended.
