Services
Blue Badge Mobility Insurance is a specialist insurance company providing niche insurance products specifically designed to meet our client's needs since 2014. To help keep you mobile, we've used our experience and expertise to create a mobility insurance policy covering Mobility Scooters, Electric Wheelchairs and Manual Wheelchairs.
Mobility Scooters provide independence and freedom for an increasing number of people. They are seen by many owners as essential to maintaining the quality of life. But the use of scooters, often in busy pedestrian areas, is not without risk which is why we recommend covering yourself with Mobility Scooter Insurance.
You should let us know as soon as possible if any of these are not true. Each of these only applies to the section in which it appears. Your policy also includes general conditions that apply across the whole policy, unless stated otherwise. Blue Badge Mobility Insurance are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
As self-employed Carers or Personal Care Assistant (PA) it's important you have carers insurance to protect yourself whilst making a big difference to someone else's life in a job that can be both physically and emotionally demanding. As with any job, mistakes can be made, and that's why it's highly recommended you protect yourself against the potential risks you face daily, with a policy like our public liability insurance for carers.
Your Electric Wheelchair keeps you on the move and helps enable your freedom. It can give you the lift and boost that you need but the use of your Electric Wheelchair, often in busy pedestrian areas, is not without risk. At Blue Badge Mobility Insurance we understand how crucial your electric wheelchair is to your everyday life, so we offer options for both Electric Wheelchair Insurance and Manual Wheelchairs.

A neighbour has his wheel chair insured with this company. He has broken down outside my house. This company say they will take, and I quote, "60 to 90" minutes to get to him. I informed them that will be too long as by then he will have hypothermia. They say "nothing we can do about it, it's our policies". I was actually advised to "leave the chair where it is and take the occupant home" !!!!
When I asked how I do that without the chair, they said they couldn't help.
It became clear that I was dealing with an outsourced help desk and not the company.
DO NOT INSURE YOUR WHEELCHAIR WITH THIS

As this review is about the mobility insurance and not about blue badge parking issues...... I would like to say the staff are great. Easy to set-up very friendly website. We had looked at a few this time as we had gotten a few months with another company and didn't realize there were many out there. Best price and really helpful. Would recommend to anyone

Have you tried to renew your blue disabled card. I have, and been refused, because some young lady in an office, with no medical training, thinks that at the age of 85 ,that my health is improving. I DONT THINK SO.But I have to face an appeal panel, tomorrow, armed with about 20 pages of my medical history,to try to get my blue card back. Iona Watt, for husband John Watt.

I need a disable parking space because I need my door open as wide as possible to get my feet out. Because of my neuropathy I've got no flexibility in my feet and lower legs, so parking in a normal space is no… good to me. And yes when these big vans park and normal cars in the disable zones it does annoy you.also when you see able body people put up a blue badge and park and you know that there is nothing wrongs with them they have got the blue badge for when they take out a disabled member of the family.
