In 2019 we celebrated 30 years of Craig Anthony in Downend.
Owner and Head Stylist Craig trained and worked in several prestigious Bristol salons before taking over the business (then Mignonnies) from his mother in 1989. The salon moved to its present location in 2000 and has trained many stylists over the years and won local and national hairdressing awards.

Craig and his wonderful team have been looking after my hair since I was a little girl. Through fidgety childhood trims, to edgy teenage colours and styles, to sensational adult cuts. AVOID!!
I went in requesting balayage having not had my hair coloured via this technique before. I told the stylist this and that I was putting my hair and trust in her hands. Huge mistake.
Instead of balayage… I received what appeared to be a few fine highlights. The appointment itself was just over 2 hours long which is nowhere near enough time for what was needed. I was also at the wash basin for around half an hour (of this 2 hour app) where product after product was added to my hair. This was most likely in order to rectify the colour which had not been left on my hair for long enough

Not a huge fan of sitting in hairdressers and have been disappointed with other salons in the past but my first (and not last) visit to Craig's was total different. We chatted and laughed, everyone made me feel welcome and comfortable. Of course I am extremely happy with my hair too!. Highly recommended and a very pleasant experience. Thumbs up from me :)

Grubby equipment and quantities of hair on the floor. Kept waiting for more than 15 minutes with absolutely no apology. The inevitable loud radio playing.
Hair washed by the manicurist who seemed completely inexperienced and told me to put my head back when the basin was still tipped up. Ouch!
Stylist experienced and cut ok but I wouldn't recommend the salon or go back.
