If it's important to get there on time, use someone else. I booked a cab to meet me half an hour later at a train station, I received a text confirming the booking. I got off the train at midnight, no cab. Called to ask where it was and was told it was a 90 minute wait, like that was going to be reliable too. Used a rival firm and won't use these again. Simply unreliable and dreadfully organised

Absolutely the worst cab company I have ever used. I ordered a cab over the phone to collect my daughter and 2 friends from a party at 12am, to save me the journey (for once) At 12.10 the cab still had not arrived. I called once, put on hold, cut off.
Called again, finally got through to be told the cab would be there in 5 mins.
Cab arrived 15 mins late in total. I'd loaded my daughters card with the pre quoted fare, as was told its up to the driver whether they take payment before the journey or at the destination. As most things are now contactless due to covid, I thought this was the easier

I booked a cab an hour in advance today for 2pm. Thank God the app was playing up and couldn't take a card payment. Pick up was confirmed both over the phone and by text. Alloted time comes and goes. By now I'm standing outside freezing for 25 minutes so my joints are both locked up and painful (I'm disabled). I call the firm who tell me they're short of drivers and one could be with me in "only another 20/25 minutes". When I asked why no one told me there was a driver shortage an hour and a half before she couldn't give me an answer.

Once again appalling service and a couldn’t care less attitude. Sometimes a roll off the tongue “sorry” just isn’t good enough when running a business. Booked a cab for a specific time and notice no movement from the driver. Then 11mins later the app loses the driver. Call the office and oh it’s busy another 30 mins wait. This is becoming a regular situation with this company and nothing appears to change. Have they forgotten what their business is supposed to do? Absolute disgraceful way to run a business. If it was a one off then I wouldn’t mind but it’s a regular occurrence.

Service has gone downhill. Have tried on 6 seperate occasions to book a taxi only to have it not arrive. Just happened again today and when calling the company line to ask what happened they pretended there was a problem with the line and hung up. They then failed to awnser again despite calling 5 times. Stay well away from these guys. Can't be relied on and see customers as the enemy. Now sitting in a bus 30 mins late for my child's swimming lessons.

Disgusting service, rude phone staff, avoid like the plague. No wonder Uber has become so successful !!!! 1 star .....my bottom !!!!! I booked my taxi with 24hr Central who were much more polite over the phone....I really do not see that Amber Cars can stay in business if they employ such rude staff and to be honest if I ever see Amber Cars on someones CV i really doubt that I would employ them.....that is how far these guys BAD reputation has snow-balled !! And it would be great if the owner of this so-called business ever posted replies to reviews on line so that he/she might get a few pointers
