Taekwon-Do literally translates as Fist and Foot Art. General Choi was a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate before he decided to take what he knew and use this knowledge to create the Art we know today as Taekwon-Do.
Taekwon-Do is primarily known as a 'Kicking Art', due to the vast number of kicks it has to offer, however, when studying Taekwon-Do properly, the practitioner will discover that there is a lot more to it than just some fancy kicks. It incorporates many different disciplines; pattern, sparring, special technique, power breaking and self-defence.

I went to the first female kickboxing class on Monday night 6-7. Wasn't sure what to expect but I loved every minute. Ross the instructor was fantastic at explaining all the moves and how to do them correctly and safely. There was a lovely friendly, relaxed atmosphere all the ladies were lovely and there was some laughter aswell. If you want to get fit and your bit apprehensive this is a great class to join, fitness levels of all stages. Looking forward to next week!
