As a quantity surveyor David Clarke always had a passion for historical architecture, with a particular love for the joinery used in period properties. So when, forty years ago, the opportunity arose to purchase a small joinery company in Banbridge, Co Down, David and his wife Alison took the gamble of their lives, bought the company, and soon after DASK Timber opened its doors.
From experience we understand the importance of having a DASK representative survey each project in person. Our fitters are all experienced joiners, who are aware of the responsibility they carry both for the quality and performance of our products, as well as the care and attention they must pay to your project.
These products - designed to cover the spectrum from the completely traditional single glazed window, through a range of double glazed options to, most recently, a triple glazed timber window with an overall U-value of 1.2 W/mK - incorporate the beauty of traditional design with technological advances giving you the optimum thermal performance ratings to ensure your home is efficient and cost effective.
Available in any size or section of timber, with a wide range of profiles and timbers, the DASK contemporary product allows you to create the joinery finish you need to achieve the modern house of your dreams. Available top or side hung, easy clean or fire escape and fully reversible configurations.
With a listed building it is often more appropriate to renovate the existing timber windows rather than replace them; this can include upgrading the performance of the window as part of the project. DASK craftsmen have a combined 240 years experience in working on period projects and have the ability to match and recreate any profile or section required to return a window back to its original glory.

I had a new front door fitted into an existing frame , from the outset I was very impressed with the
customer service .
Stephen called to measure up the door , it was manufactured in the workshop & expertly fitted this week.
The finish on the door is top class , we are absolutely delighted with the job .
I have no hesitation in recommending this top class firm , they are in a class of their own when it comes to

In my opinion, this company are a disgrace. We purchased sash windows, a porch, casement windows, front door and rear doors and a double height conservatory. We have had problems with every aspect of their work (except the sash windows). The conservatory doors leaked from day 1; the rear doors cracked, and the casement windows were ill fitting. Getting this crowd back to repair was really very easy provided you had yet to settle the bill. Once they were paid they were very hard to entice back to sort out the problems.
