Services
Although the DVSA don't make the scores public knowledge, they do score MOT testing stations on a traffic light system and we're very proud to be able to say that we are rated as a green testing station. We also chose to be quality control checked by the Retail Motor Industry Federation annually to make sure that we are fully compliant.
We service and maintain absolutely all makes and models, from Alfa Romeo to Volvo, and have been doing so since Jim and Iris Tutt started the business in 1960. We tend to use the genuine original equipment manufacturer parts but sourced from aftermarket suppliers to achieve the highest quality repair at the most affordable cost. That's one of the best things about being an independent garage, we have the ability to buy our parts from wherever we like and save our customers as much money as we can.

Highly recommend, v friendly and knowledgable people on the desk. After a few issues with my car I took it to Tutts to have a replacement turbo. They ordered the part from Germany but when it came to fitting found they only need to replace one pipe. I was expecting to pay the four-figure estimate but in the end was only a few hundred. This sort of thing gains trust so will now only go there in the future.

I had an alarm issue with my Audi TT so contacted Tutts, as my usual garage was booked up. Sam at Tutts realised that if the issue wasn’t sorted quickly either my neighbours would kill me or I’d suffer from damaging sleep deprivation. They were brilliant! Friendly, professional and reassuring. My car had an immediate assessment at 830 the same morning. Alarm fault diagnosed, part ordered and fixed. I also detailed a scuttle panel blockage problem and rear centre brake light warning light. Both issues were sorted including a work around of a damp problem that plagues many Audi owners. I also

I was recommended to visit Tutts by a friend of mine, as my car was in need of its service but I'd lost confidence in my previous garage. When I arrived, I was greeted by Sam who couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. I'm not too familiar with how cars work, so I was hoping the team would be able to explain what work needed to be done. They couldn't have been more helpful. Sam clearly explained everything the team would be doing which was really important. The service and proceeding work was carried out quickly and the communication was perfect. Very friendly staff and great service all together. They keep you very well informed throughout. After a fault was found with the car instead of replacing parts like many garages will do they were able to get it fixed quickly without doing so and then put straight back through the MOT. Highly recommended and will definitely be going back there! Thanks Tutts!

Easy to book with and did a good job on the service. However, they called to check on additional items that could be done, to which I agreed. When I got there they hadn’t done the MOT I asked for, they even said it was due soon. If they knew it was due and asked me about the other items, why not raise it on the phone. I am now going to have to go elsewhere for an MOT in a rush.
Update: Tutts called and offered to sort the MOT for me and have been really helpful in trying to improve my experience using them. Much appreciated.

Great service from friendly people. Went above and beyond to get my alignment done after lowering the car even doing things other companies would refuse to look at.
Expected them to be expensive but they were actually the same as some of the monkeys who have worked on my car before.

I've always used Tutts of Dorking for my regular MOT check. Never had an issue before until now.
They failed my service and said a needed new suspension, bulbs and tyre. I took it to a friend who's a mechanic after they failed it and he said the suspension didn't need doing at all and was fine to pass the legal specifications. They also were going to charge me £18.75 for the labour to change a single lightbulb (a 2 minute task anyone can do). Not acceptable to be failing people who's vehicles should be accepted as a pass. Ended up getting said friend to redo the MOT and change the tyres for me

The worst garage I've ever been along with Station View in Dorking!
I went there to make a correction to steering wheel that was sitting slightly off centre. In 10 minutes said machine is showing everything is good, but the steering wheel wasn't in the correct position again, charged me £45 and did nothing!
Second attempt, booked a wheel alignment, charged me £90 for that and did not finish the job, but took the money. Went somewhere else and job was done for about 20 minutes and it only cost £50 for the same service.
Very greasy customer service in the front desk, never bothered to provide

Found Tutts of Dorking on the internet whilst looking for a VW authorised service agent to service my Passat. As I cover vast amounts is mileage (due to being a private hire company - TTS Tailored Travel Solutions 01293 776877..... ) I am regularly in need of a service. I was extremely impressed that the lady I Spoke with advised an extended mileage service plan which I have now set up - this wasn't even suggested to me by my previous garage - Tutts will now have my business along with any recommendations

Came in today with a fault light, I thought it was going to be serious... Got a fantastic welcome, friendly and understanding, they took my keys and said they would do their very best to get it sorted at such short notice... they were busy !! Went back, car fixed, cleaned and ready to go... And the cost was less than I ever expected.. It's good to know that there are people who care, a business who value their customers and not just how much money they can get... Thank you Danny... your were awesome..

I've used Tutts for my annual service and MOT on my Golf, plus any other bits that have needed doing, for the past 6 years. This is a little gem of a garage! Amy and her team are friendly to deal with, do top quality work at reasonable prices and, most importantly, are trustworthy. You never get the feeling that you're being ripped off or any unnecessary work is being done to your car. They always ring before doing extra work and are happy to talk you through why it needs doing so you don't get any nasty surprises when you pick your car up. Can't recommend them enough!

Had a service & MOT with Tutts about a month ago. They were quick, professional, really friendly and informative too. They also offered incredibly competitive prices to fix issues with my old Toyota Yaris. Tutts called and asked me if I wanted them to take on the extra work my car needed & did so with absolutely no pressure or sales pitch to go with it (very refreshing!). Really pleased with them; will definitely be going back and will be recommending to friends in the area too.
