AB is Aaron Barnes, a skilled vehicle mechanic with x years experience. Aaron started life working as a mechanic for SSP Engineering in Stockland, Devon. When the owner couln't run the business anymore Aaron took over and began specialising in rear axles. Specialising in the refurbishment and reconditioning of rear axles was an instant hit.
AB Auto's new MOT Centre in Chard offers MOT's at the reasonable price of 35. We also carry out all work your vehicle needs should it fail any of the examinations carried out during an MOT test. The MOT (Ministry of Transport) vehicle test sets out guidelines to inspect your cars roadworthiness using a variety of factors.
When we are car tyre fitting we check all of the elements to make sure that you are running as smoothly as possible. So when we change your car tyres we balance the wheels, align the tracking and make sur ethe tyres are pumped up to the correct psi. We have a large range of tyres available here at AB Autos, suitable for all makes and model of vehicle, all budgets and all driving conditions.
Our quick service is for those of you that have regular services but just want a quick once over to make there are no glaring problems on your car for peace of mind if for instance you are planning a long journey. Your vehicle has lots of moving parts so it's a great idea to service your car at least once a year possibly more if you run it particularly hard.
Engine diagnostic tools allow technicians and mechanics to 'plug-in' to your car systems - usually called an engine control computer (ECU) - using a computer or specialist machine. This machine communicates with the engine to find out how all of the component parts are holding up. The machine runs tests then displays codes to the mechanic which can then be worked on.

Can’t recommend these guys enough. After being told that my 118d was ‘beyond economical repair’ by a local garage, AB auto not only replaced the timing chain, but also did the EGR valve, glow plugs and glow plug module.
Work was completed at a fair price, communication was excellent, nothing was done that wasn’t asked for.
They are a 90 minute drive from me, but I’ll definitely be going there again.

OMG!! These guys are amazing. My turbo had gone which to say it needed to be replaced, which they fitted but after they tested it, they were not to happy with the vacum on it, so instead of just letting me go at 5:30pm they stayed until they found the fault and fixed it.
Now you may say well whats so different to other garages doing this, the difference is that they stayed all night to get it done. In my books that is total dedication and the up most professionalism.
I cant recommend this company enough.
