Westridge have evolved from a small skip hire company to a waste management company with a licensed mechanical recycling facility based on an 18 acre site central to the Isle of Wight. Westridge recycle materials and divert thousands of tonnes of what would be waste away from landfill, we were also the first company to introduce euro six vehicles on the Island, these trucks are environmentally friendly and minimise emissions to the atmosphere.

Services
The following is a story board to explain the process of how waste is handled at Westridge. All waste received at Lynn Pitt Transfer Station is at first taken over the weighbridge and weighed before being tipped in to our general waste reception bay. Large bulky waste (easy to handle cardboard and wood for example) being extracted.
Inert Recycling / Washed Screened Certificated Aggregates to series 600 Highways Specifications. Westridge also have an Inert tipping facility based at Lynn Pit, Briddleford Road, Newport, Isle of Wight PO30 2PD. The site is logistically well placed centrally on the IOW. At the site muckaway, dirt, rubble, bricks, blocks, soil, clay and sand are tipped.
Westridge recycle as much as possible from the waste that comes in over our weighbridge from both residential and commercial outlets. Most of this material is transported off the Island by Westridge themselves and taken to various outlets on the mainland for recycling. The Inert materials are tipped on site at Westridge depot, Lynn Pitt Transfer Station, which has it's own inert landfill site.
For a cost-effective solution to moving waste when you have larger sites or projects our Roll on Roll off containers can be provided. These come in 20yd (15.4 cubic meter) and 40yd (30.5 cubic meter) sizes. All have barn door openings and the vehicles themselves have an easy sheet system allowing secure transport.
Westridge are able to offer 8 wheel and 6 wheel Muckaway services throughout the Isle Of Wight. We have the benefit of having our own licensed inert recycling facility. Whilst offering these services, we are also able to deliver recycled aggregates at discounted rates. Please give us a call to discuss your options.

They are rubbish at moving rubbish. First day they were supposed to collect my waste they got Magnet Kitchens (it was rubbish from having a kitchen fitted) to phone and say westridge couldn't make it. New date for collection came and went, so I phoned and was given a new date for collection. That was supposed to be yesterday - guess what they didnt turn up. I phoned again and apparently spoke to the MD, who promised it would be gone by the time I got home from work today. You've guessed it, it was still there. Dont make dates you cant keep.
