Tony Sandles Glass makes and supplies distressed antiqued mirrors, as well as gilded silver & gold leaf mirrors, contemporary leadlights, authentic stained glass, and kiln formed glass. Producing an artistic mix of specialist glass in collaboration with designers and architects to create bespoke high end interior finishes.
We would like to think we contribute an artist's eye and craftsman's touch to all our pieces, which once installed become intrinsic to the overall ambience or character of its setting, with tints and textured surfaces enhanced by lighting, adding glamour and a sense of theatre.

Services
Just one day after the 1987 hurricane the Tony Sandles Stained Glass studio opened in South London. Helped along by the late 1980's property boom Tony was soon making and restoring stained glass windows and leaded lights for a wealth of Victorian and Edwardian villas in and around Crystal Palace. In 1995, the business moved to Clerkenwell.
We make and supply handmade antique mirrors and silver leaf panels contributing to the ambience of some of the most prestigious restaurants and bars in the capital. As part of our bespoke service we enjoy a friendly and switched on dialogue with hospitality designers and architects, advising on suitable finishes.
As part of the movement for the handmade, our heavily antiqued smoky mirrors work well as stand-alone pieces or composite panels alongside other artworks and crafted elements in a room. Our antiqued mirrors, silvered kiln formed glass and gently distressed silver & gold leaf panels become elegant features in reception areas, bars, dining rooms, and boutique bedrooms.
We have invested in a range of equipment in our light and spacious studio to enable us to produce in-house a variety of glass art, created by dipping into a palette of techniques. We make antique mirrors creating aesthetically pleasing patination from lightly foxed vintage evolving to dark moody industrial.
Being a rural location the post code of CB10 2XA is about 500 metres out, pinpointing where Water Lane becomes Elder Street. Our shared entrance is 100 metres back from the T junction with Thaxted Road. An off-road sign for Tony Sandles Glass points the way - bear left for parking adjacent to the barns.
