Federation is a design & marketing studio based near Cambridge, UK. We work with small companies and big brands. Our portfolio of services ranges from Corporate Identities to Digital Marketing. We have a grounding in print publications, exhibitions, POS, signage and packaging but our main focus is providing solutions to our clients online needs, whether they be; purchasing, interactions, data or the need for a functional great looking website.

We have and will always keep exploring technological developments. Married with our need for creative expression, the resulting marketing collateral will always feel fresh, modern and thought through. Conversation, communication and creative thinking is what we are all about. We will listen to your problem or dream scenario then work out the best way to solve it or build a road map detailing how to get there.
Logos are important but they are just one part of branding. A brand encompasses tone of voice, imagery and the overall character of a company. One of the best ways to illustrate this is by establishing a clear set of guidelines that together create a brand identity. Over the years, we have produced brand identities across many industries.
Branding is everywhere and so are the marketing materials (collateral) used to support it. By creating artwork that engages perfectly with your customers, our aim is to portray your brand so effectively that it sells. We have been producing marketing materials for many years, for a wide variety of industries.
We have produced; product images for companies selling online, team photos for service providers, food images for restaurants Instagram feeds, interior and exterior architecture photography for Property developments and onsite location images for holiday companies. Drones can go places people cannot and are therefore great for gaining footage which normally we cannot get.

Steve at Federation Design is an absolute joy to work with!

We almost felt married to our previous design agency - they were fab but we were one of their first clients and they don't have many clients or much experience of delivering high end, clever websites. Federation Design have a huge amount of experience and knowledge that has not only resulted in a beautiful website that generates strong leads but the Team at Fed have also helped in other ways linking us to clients and associates that has really helped with business development - I am so glad I gave Federation a chance and that I am not still chained to my previous web and design company.

From discussing initial design ideas, to the finish product, Steve at Federation Design has worked to bring our ideas to life, providing a responsive website with elements that our last website was lacking.
Steve has always been on hand to expand on ideas, make any changes and work above and beyond to ensure we were completely happy with the project before it went live.
Unlike some other designers, handover is not the end of the process, Steve provided a training session to ensure I was confident in making additions and changes to the new site.

Steve James at Federation Design is both highly talented in designing our new website and highly efficient in his communication and liaison with us at the Institute of Family Therapy. He has made many suggestions for improvement to our site and our visibility on social media. Steve has explained the process to those of us who are non-techy and made it understandable and possible to work with. He has a 'can do' approach which has been refreshing and stimulating.
