Purley Dental Practice
The Chief Dental Officer for England, Sarah Hurley, has confirmed that dental practices do not need to close during the period of lockdown and tighter restrictions. PURLEY DENTAL PRACTICE should REMAIN OPEN to treat patients in line with the standard operating procedure. There has been a dental practice at this location for 60 years.

Andrew and Elaine Paice acquired the practice in 1987 and became Purley Dental Practice Ltd in 2007. Whether you are a new or existing patient we would like to thank you for choosing us. At Purley Dental Practice we believe in a preventative approach to dentistry and want all our patients to have healthy, beautiful smiles.
Services
Purley Dental Practice is a long established family practice. Our patients come from far and wide but mostly the Purley, Coulsdon, Kenley, Sanderstead, Carshalton and Wallington areas. We aim to offer a high level of professionalism and care for NHS, Private and Payment Plan patients. Our practice is conveniently located and has good parking facilities.
After qualifying in 1979 he worked in Germany for four years, then moved to practice in this area in 1984. He provides all forms of general dental care and has developed a gentle and caring approach to dentistry. He has established links with specialist treatment providers for fixed orthodontics, implants and oral surgery and will be happy to direct you to the most appropriate specialist for any advanced treatment required.
We provide you and your family with all the treatments and check-ups you will need to maintain a healthy mouth in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Regular check ups and having your teeth cleaned professionally is essential to protect the health of your teeth and gums. At each consultation your teeth, gums and mouth will be carefully examined to ensure you are in good oral health.
Our mission at Purley Dental Care is to inform and encourage all our patients to look after their teeth because healthy teeth and gums are a vital part in our overall wellbeing. Often only when things go wrong do most people start to appreciate this, so we always emphasise oral hygiene as the most important aspect of dentistry!
At Purley Dental Care we advise that dental care should begin at an early age, since plaque will begin to form as soon as a child's first tooth arrives. Parental brushing is essential for your child's dental health, in addition to strict control of sweets, chocolate and sugary drinks. It is recommended to bring your child for a dental visit from birth, ideally accompanied by Mum and Dad and any siblings.

I've always been wary of dentists after having a bad experience many years ago. However Felicity and the team made me feel completely secure and safe. The booking process was super easy and I felt the focus was on prevention rather than trying to upsell me lots of treatments. Really professional team and highly recommended.

Having been forced to delay seeking treatment for a chipped tooth due to the Covid-19 lockdown, I ended up with a painful tooth infection and gum abscess. My usual dentist was unable to see me for 6 weeks, so I contacted the Purley Dental Practice - and I’m so glad I did! Dentist Felicity was kindly able to fit me in the very next day to assess the situation with my tooth. She took the time to patiently explain the different options for treatment and instantly put me at ease with her reassuring, friendly and professional approach. Having agreed a course of action, she booked me in for a follow

Booked an appointment asking them to look at my wisdom teeth, which were causing pain. They charged me for x-rays which didn't even include the wisdom teeth, and have refused to acknowledge or respond to multiple follow up emails seeking clarity. Very disappointing response to what I'm sure could have been a simple resolution.

I joined this practice a few years ago having spent a few years avoiding dentists completely because of how I had been treated by numerous dentists. I was expecting the same. My husband told me join PDP they are really good. So I called up and they were so lovely and reassuring. When I had my appointment with Felicity I couldn't believe how amazing she was. So kind, so caring, so knowledgeable, so honest and professional. I wished I had spent those past years with this practice. I immediately signed my children up and they all have no issues going to the dentist they find it a pleasant experience

Felicity and Elaine are superb. Made me feel totally at ease. I was registered with a Central London practice but with Covid and lockdown had to register a locally. I am so happy I did. The care was superb with first class in the treatment offered and received. If you are nervous, don't be they are exceptional.

Very friendly and professional staff. I felt reassured and I had explained to me every option available, and was talked through a recent procedure which I was very nervous about. I felt instantly at ease due to the professionalism of all the staff involved

Having not been to a dentist for a few years I was fairly nervous as I was having 2 fillings, Dr Kieran Thompson was amazing, talked me through the procedure, made me feel comfortable and kept asking if I was ok throughout! The dental nurse was also very nice and welcoming. I will be seeing the hygienist soon and look forward to my next visit! I most definitely recommend this practice.
