Services
Established in 1971, we have more than 40 years' experience of precision engineering, specialising in the manufacturing of diesel engine components. We cater for customers from a diverse range of industries, including automotive, aerospace and nuclear.
With our comprehensive machining and sub-assembly facilities, we are able to offer a wide range of products, from one-off prototypes to batch runs, and produce complex components in a variety of materials using state-of-the-art multi-axis equipment.

O.L.D. was established in 1971 by Bill Lusty and his two partners, Barry Olner and John Drackley. The business originally operated from a small factory in Sharnford, Leicestershire, supplying engine parts to the likes of British Rail, London Bus and Crane Fruehauf.
When he acquired overall control of the company in 1979, Bill relocated O.L.D. to its current location in Hinckley, where continual investment in new technology and unwavering commitment to quality led it to grow exponentially, despite the effects of political and economic circumstances on British manufacturing at the time.

Whether it's a one-off prototype or a larger batch run, our expert team combines in-depth knowledge with a flexible, customer-focused approach to ensure that clients receive continuously high levels of quality and service whatever the product. Mary became Managing Director in 2007 after nearly 40 years of working for O.L.D. Engineering.
Here at O.L.D. we believe our biggest achievements are the solid, long-standing relationships we develop with our customers. We have been in partnership with Cummins since 1981, during which time we have continually supplied them with high-quality components and prototypes. This has led to us being awarded a number of accolades and establishing a successful relationship that has spanned more than 30 years.
