At Marsh Plant we offer a wide selection of plant, tools & equipment available for hire, ranging from 0.8 ton mini diggers to 8 ton excavators, rough terrain forklifts, 6m up to 18m telehandlers, dumpers, rollers & compressors. As well as telehandler buckets, we supply extension forks, manbaskets, auger, fly jibs, lifting hooks and breakers, all the equipment you need to fulfil your job requirements.
Modern hydraulic excavators come in a wide variety of sizes. The smaller ones are called mini or compact excavators. Before the 1990's all excavators had a long or conventional counterweight that hung off the rear of the machine to provide more digging force and lifting capacity. This became a nuisance when working in confined areas.
The telescopic handler, or telehandler as it is commonly known was originally pioneered by the Matbro company in Horley, UK. Since this time several other manufacturers including JCB, Manitou, Bobcat, CAT and Merlo have developed telehandlers for a wide range of applications, including agriculture and construction.
If the crane is hired on a CPA hire only basis, the hirer/client is fully responsible for complying with BS7121 & LOLER regulations. They must allocate a qualified and competent appointed person to plan and manage the lift. They must also assess and arrange full insurance cover for the lifting operation including loss or damage to lifted loads and loss or damage to the crane and lost revenue.
