Set in secluded woodland 15 miles north of Oban, we have 24 purpose built heated kennels and 8 cat chalets with heated beds, which the cats adore. We are situated in a peaceful location "an oasis in the middle of the forestry". The business is family run by animal lovers and we have over 40 years of animal care and kennel management.
The kennels and cattery have double glazed fronts which look out over the gardens and countryside, so there is always something for our guests to look at, including peacocks, pigeons and horses. The woodland provides the perfect enhanced environment for the dogs to enjoy in their morning and afternoon walks, regardless of the weather.

Services
In 1979 I left school and went to work at Lynwater kennels, near Broxburn, which belonged to the late Elizabeth McLean, an internationally renowned breeder of cocker spaniels and labradors. We travelled countrywide showing her cockers and made up many champions, winning at Crufts, and exporting young dogs overseas.
Prior Inspection of our kennels and cattery is encouraged for your peace of mind and we are, of course, licensed and fully insured. The Kennels are open between 8am and 6pm every day. Outgoing pets need to be booked out between 8.00am - 1.00pm. Any variance to this must be notified in advance.
It is likely that the kennel will be occupied again the same evening, so has to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared in time for the next occupant, as it was for yours.Arrangements can be made for early and late movements given notice and associated fees. Individually heated kennels, each with sleeping area and run, fitted with heating and music.

Welcome to Lochandubh Pet Boarding - A few testimonials from our very loyal customers - thank you. I have always found Fionas care, knowledge, experience, time she gives to any animal that needs it, love, etc the best I have ever seen. I have been taking my dogs to Fiona to board since I moved here in 2011.

My various pet and working dogs have been kenneled, trained and groomed for many years at Lochandubh kennels. I have had sound advice from Fiona and her staff as regards any wee problems that may have arisen with my dogs' health or behaviour. (The problem usually lay with me, and not the dog!) I cannot praise the staff or premises highly enough. 5 star accommodation and 5 star care.

I can't recommend these kennels as our dog was in a very poor state after a weeks boarding. Despite leaving his own food apparently he hadn't eaten for a week and all his dry food was returned. We could see his ribs when we got him home.
Also he had a raw sore on his leg due to " constantly lying on the concrete". This has since become infected and developed in to an abscess. So we have had to go to the vets for antibiotics. We've used numerous kennels over the years and this is by far the worst we've come across.

I have been using Fiona's kennels for 20 years. Three of my dogs have stayed with her during that time, beginning with one very timid 'rescue' spaniel, and quickly became the only kennels at which I felt happy leaving my dogs. Not only is the accommodation outstanding - especially when compared to the other kennels I've occasionally used in England - but I am 100% confident that my dogs are safe and secure when they are staying there. Unlike other kennels where young and inexperienced part-time staff are often used to walk the dogs and manage the bookings, at Lochandubh Fiona is rarely far away
