Services
We accept projects that potentially involve building alterations, designing chimney systems, as well as reconfiguring fire places and flues to traditional and contemporary styles. From planning through to design and construction, we commission projects according to wood burning regulations with Hetas, Building control and Heritage conservation.
With all our stove and fireplace installations, we offer a free local survey service to assess the room and needs to help you choose the best stove for you. All installations are in accordance with wood burning stove regulations, commissioned and registered upon completion. All manner of designs and finishes, old and new, recreated, preserved, or contemporary are designed and intalled by our highly experienced inhouse Tradesmen.
All our chimney installations offer a wide range of system types. From flexi liners, insulated chimneys systems and pumice liners, to brick chimney re-builds with new lead trays to eliminate water ingression. We are also able to add a new Insulated Chimney System where there is not a current chimney.
For any of the above projects we would liaise with building control and if needed our structural engineer to give full registered approval on completion. For a new Metal insulated chimney or a flexi liner in an existing flue. Re configuration of fire place to larger opening and look, from an open fire to except a stove or Gas to solid fuel.
Normally, every stove and chimney installation should be accompanied with a chimney lining to prevent condensation, the build-up of tar, and the risk of chimney fires. This lining also insulates the flue system and is usually made of stainless steel to improve the safety of your stove system. Burnwood Chimneys will be able to expertly install a lined chimney to help you get the most out of your stove.

Negative experience.
Arranged for proprietor to attend on Saturday morning to advise on forthcoming stove installation.
Checked the day before to ensure all in order and promised arrival before 10am due to work commitments.
Waited in until 1pm, nobody arrived, several texts and calls to find out what was going on.
NO response, NO communication, NO notification to advise of non attendance. Very disappointed and basically wasted our Saturday for nothing.l and went to work 3.5 hours late.

I instructed Burnwood Chimneys after a colleague appointed them and gave reasonable feedback. Sadly I was not so lucky. Initial they were very keen to help and visited our property on a few occasions to give us peace of mind however as the job commenced doubts started to set in!
Initially we didn't realise the extent of the shoddy workmanship until we suffered with a major leak down our chimney.
After several attempts in trying to contact Burnwood we were advised this was down to the chimney needing replacing and we were so called advised of this during the carrying out of the work. This was
