On the surface this looks like a very trendy high class country pub/hotel/restaurant. Sadly under the surface it does not follow through.
The food was underwhelming and over priced and the rooms need a good clean and checking by management. The staff were very good and tried constantly to resolve any issues. There was confusion at breakfast as people were turning up an hour before it was actually being served. The breakfast when served was covered in ground pepper and not to everyone’s taste and the quality was not good

We had our Wedding at the Woodman in September and it was the most magical day we could ever have dreamed of! Nothing was too much for the fantastic team, who made sure everything was perfect for us throughout and out our nerves at ease! The fantastic Jordan helped us out through two postponements and made sure we got the most ‘us’ wedding we possibly could. I’d absolutely recommend the Woodman to any couple looking for a beautiful woodland wedding venue and a team that is so good at what they do ❤️

I stayed for one night at the Woodman Inn. The room was spacious and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I have slept in. The food at the Inn was well presented, home made and very tasty. I was staying for work and needed to leave before breakfast officially began. The staff were incredible and put together a continental breakfast for me to have before leaving for work. It was a great stay and definitely value for money. The staff made my experience even better. I would definitely recommend the Woodman Inn.

I visited the Woodman Inn as a member of a wedding party for both the ceremony and reception. It was excellent. The building is traditional rather than modern and beautifully situated ideal for wedding photos. The staff were very experienced, friendly and helpful and made sure the day went as planned. Food was excellent both for the reception and evening event. The surroundings helped ensure a warm and buzzing atmosphere. Accommodation was very good, well maintained, comfortable. Structure of the main building might be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Overall I was very impressed with

Nice place and nice spot. However the venue upstairs I don't think is suitable for a wedding reception as it's too small for this purpose during an ongoing pandemic. The reception we went to I could observe the downstairs door was open and upstairs there were 2-3 windows open a little bit but that was it regards ventilation. 15 cases of Covid so far among guests that attended that I'm aware of since that evening.

Fantastic stay.
Room was beautiful, really well laid out and very clean. My wife loved the upstairs bathroom. (Room 12)
We had an evening meal which couldn't of been better, some of the best food I've had in a long time, the flavours were amazing. The breakfast was very good and made to order so no cold eggs sitting under a warm light! Complements to the chefs.
The staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The manager (Dan I think) was always on hand making sure everything was as it should be. Really good guy and easy to talk to.
