I began studying Art & Design before becoming a PA in the business sector. Although the organisation required for that career came naturally to me it wasn't fulfilling to my creative self, so after having our first child I turned back to design. I studied garden design whilst working with my husband's firm (Clive's Country Gardens).
The natural progression was that we started Natural Design Studio, where we could design gardens full time. Clive and I collaborate, sharing our horticultural and design skills - and you'll often catch us volunteering and sponsoring local gardening projects together! Services
This front garden and driveway has an elegant blue and white theme. The borders are designed with permaculture principles to reduce the need for weeding and watering. Keeping the garden low maintenance and easy to enjoy. It is also full of scented flowers and shrubs to welcome you home! Front gardens make a first impression, and due to this they have their own 'rules' that differ from back gardens.
This new build garden was a large slope which made use of the garden very difficult. We set out to not only make this space more useable but to take it to the next level making it beautiful, exiting and inviting. We used a simple layout to create enjoyable flat terraces and then set about weaving in features that the owners would love such as planting for year round interest that can be admired from the home offices.
This project was to build upon existing ideas to become a collaboration between owner and designer. This is a very special garden that contributes to the owners lifestyle and cosmetics making business by providing an avenue of productive flowers. They are scented, medicinal and perfect for drying and adding to soaps and lotions.
This is a very special garden tailored to enhance the health and wellbeing of it's owners. The garden was previously unmanagable and was most often overgrown or used for storage. It needed transforming into a clear, low maintenance space for relaxing, eating and entertaining. The layout we applied was very simple and open, this helped the garden to feel spacious and inviting.
