Eye Exam Report

An eye examination is an opportunity to discuss any concerns that you may have with your eyes, vision and eye health, and for us to check that there aren't any hidden problems that you haven't noticed yet.

Caroline Hurst is an experienced, qualified, independent behavioural optometrist and she will listen and discuss your concerns, together with thoroughly examining your eyes and vision using a full range of examination equipment and techniques including digital fundus photography.Eye examinations usually take between twenty minutes and half an hour, although extra techniques may take longer.

Dry Eye Report

Do your eyes often feel dry or irritated? Do certain activities, like reading or working on the computer, make your eyes feel scratchy? Are you wearing your contact lenses less and less because they become uncomfortable? The term "dry eye" is self-explanatory - eyes that aren't fresh, moist and comfortable.

Macula Degeneration Report

Macula Degeneration (AMD) is the largest cause of visual impairment in the developed world. It affects the central vision, generally both eyes, with one eye often more affected than the other. Peripheral vision remains intact so the sufferer can see to move around, but the central clarity for reading, watching the TV and seeing people's faces is very often lost.

Smelly dog always there. Staff are very short and I would not say very child friendly. Also I drove 5 miles to get there to change my daughters lenses only to be told the only person there that could change them was not there. Brilliant.

Lovely family run opticians. Popped in to have my glasses repaired.
They completed it there and then and they are as good as new.
They also gave my children some fiddle toys to play with and keep.

My son has been working with Caroline for over a year now, and his ability to see smaller objects (and therefore read) has improved massively. I can't thank Caroline enough. It is tough ..but worth it

I should really have left this feedback couple of years back. I took Vision Therapy sessions from Caroline for over a year and must have spent about £1.5k but it was least helpful. She kept telling me that it was the right thing for the problems I was facing but it hardly benefitted me at all.
I feel the £50 she charges for half an hour session is a complete rip-off and unjustified. I really feel for those parents who spend this extortionate sum for their children’s needs but actually they might need something completely different.
