Arb Elite offer a variety of services from hedge cutting to the removal of large trees. No matter how big or how small the job we take the same amount of care and pride in all work carried out. There are many techniques for complete removal but the most common is carried out using specialist lowering equipment with the tree taken down in sections (known as a sectional fell).
Ash dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus) is a fungus which originated in Asia. It doesn't cause much damage on its native hosts of the Manchurian ash (Fraxinus mandshurica) and the Chinese ash (Fraxinus chinensis) in its native range.
However, its introduction to Europe about 30 years ago has devastated the European ash (Fraxinus excelsior) because our native ash species did not evolve with the fungus and this means it has no natural defence against it.The nature of the disease causes the tree to lose its water content making the wood brittle, which can have implications for the tree and those arborists who work on them.

Sam and the team were absolutely amazing! Very efficient, super tidy and did an amazing job of the garden I cannot recommend them highly enough! They also fitted us in on a Friday afternoon and even helped out a neighbour! The best tree surgeon team we could have asked for!

Had to make the hard decision to have our beautiful Monkey Puzzle tree felled, it had sadly grown too big for our garden. Sam and his team were fantastic. At one point I thought our garden would never recover but just a few hours later, apart from the drilled out stump, you wouldn’t have known they’d been there. Great bunch of lads, professional and tidy, definitely recommend this company and will not hesitate to use again. Sad to see the tree go but thrilled with the work, thank you.

We are very pleased that we chose this company to cut down two large trees in our back garden. Shame the trees had to go but one was quite diseased. It took a force of six men here all day to carry out the task. All staff were polite, efficient, professional, and everything was cleared up beautifully. No hesitation in recommending this company.

My journey with Arb Elite started when the strong winds had hit a few weeks back and I was worried about the large tree in my back garden falling on our house. I knew Arb Elite were local and had heard how fantastic they were!
I contacted Sam who got back to me so quickly (within 24 hours) who arrange to come over for a consultation. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so many options of what we could do. From trimming the tree, to cutting it down completely. He could even remove the roots too. We opted for cutting the tree down and turning the stump into a chair

Disaster struck when the old tree in my front garden fell down in the strong winds covering the public footpath. Arb Elite was able to provide an exceptional and very responsive service in a matter of minutes. Tree was cleared in two shakes of a lambs tail. Sad to see it go but at least it went out in safe hands, thanks Sam!

Excellent work by Sam. Once I had made the booking he kept in contact throughout. Came and visited and asked what we wanted, then advised on best possible action. Made a date and came and did the job. Exactly what we wanted, with minimum fuss, a very good price and he left the garden cleaner than when he arrived. Can't recommend him enough. A very satisfied customer
