Gelder Joinery was founded by Bryan Gelder in 1978. Bryan qualified as an ecclesiastical joiner and began a family business, which has seen many members of the family work for the company. Bryan firmly believes in passing on his specialist skills and so is particularly proud to have trained many apprentices including a number of national award winners.
We are now entering a new phase of business, having moved to a larger workshop and expanded our team of highly qualified joiners and apprentices. We are currently looking for a high quality bench joiner capable of handling projects from drawings to finished product. We regularly take on apprentices and offer work experience opportunities.

Services
Gelder Joinery Limited specialises in providing architectural joinery and installation services to both contractors and private clients. We have particular experience working on exacting heritage projects in historic homes and Oxford colleges, throughout the county and beyond. We handcraft bespoke doors, windows, conservatories and staircases, along with free-standing and fitted furniture.
Gelder Joinery is happy to work either directly with private clients or via architects or builders. Working with clients to design a project or with professional designers, architects and builders using precise plans. Our experienced staff can advise on style, wood choice and finish and visit you with samples to help envisage your project.

Having completed a number of residential projects for us I’d say Gelder’s workmanship is top class across the entire team. We can’t fault any aspect - respectful, personable and clear communication, creative and adaptable approach to projects and the results always surpass my expectations (expectations not easily pleased!). Couldn’t recommend enough. If you want rubbish go elsewhere!
