Services
Whether it be an ambition to add colour, structure or winter interest, we can offer a helping hand to create a scheme that suits your soil type, garden orientation or site condition. A brief will be created to relate to your likes and dislikes, budget and long term maintenance plan. Often schemes involve adding sympathetically to an exiting garden or it can be a completely blank canvas.
We offer our clients the benefit of both designing and building gardens, which provides our clients the assurance that a high standard is maintained from the design process through to the build completion and planting. The design process for us is often a combination of problem solving and creative input.
Many gardens require retaining or dividing walls in some form. We offer a range of styles that work with the architecture of the house and help give better access to the garden or improved social space.
From traditional Kentish stones such as ragstone, sandstone and flint, to other popular choices such as Purbeck, Yorkstone and Cotswold, we are experienced in a variety of walling and also brickwork, rendered block walls, railway sleeper retaining walls and gabion cage wall construction. We also offer services in driveway construction including natural stone setts, block paving and permeable gravel driveway systems.

Timber can be a very versatile and benefitial material in garden design as it can help solve problem areas with difficult gradients or drainage. Decking is also a excellent solution in areas where mature tree roots need to be sympathetically worked around to avoid damage.
Due to the drainage gaps, decking can link to internal house floor levels providing a smooth transition from inside to out and often requires less initial groundwork preparation. We have installed a range of decking areas and steps in softwood, hardwood and composite decking. There are many options beyond high street products and we will advise to which material best suits your requirements, budget and garden style.

The right paving choice can be very important for many reasons within a garden design. Function, site conditions and budget all play a part in the decision and we will use our experience to help advise on making a suitable choice. The design of the patio area is also key to allowing adequate space for those using it and getting an attractive balance between the hard landscaping and planting.

Alex designed a fantastic sensory garden for us here at the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice. His creative solutions to the challenge of making an accessible garden for terminally people included mobile planters, so that nurses can move flowers and plants near to patients. The planters also help create flexible spaces for meeting or contemplation. He is a pleasure to work with. The garden is used every day now by patients, carers, staff and children visiting.
