Services
This is our core business. Our prime job is to analyse whatever item is brought in for framing, assess the best way or ways of framing and presenting the item and then expressing the options to the customer in a friendly and informative manner. We believe it is essential that our customers have the best possible advice and information so that they have a clear set of options from which to make a decision.
We stock a wide range of conservation grade and museum grade mountcard. These can also be bought by the sheet. As a standard we use conservation/white core mountcard, as it is pre-treated to remove the majority of lignin (acid). The manufacturer guarantees that the core will stay white for at least 25 years.
We have perfected a system that allows us to hang the shirt naturally within a lightweight 3D presentation box. The shirt is hand-sewn around an acid neutral* stiffening card and set within a deep rebate frame with a shadow mount. We can also place calligraphy, tickets and other memorabilia within the viewing area.
Oil or acrylic on canvas that has been properly varnished by the artist should be stretched onto wooden bars and without glass as oils can take up to 40 years to dry and therefore need to breathe. We use specially profiled bars that have a ridge to reduce the area of canvas in contact with the bars.

What a lovely experience from start to finish. Annie Drew would be blown away I am sure, by the finished framed lions head. The lady who assisted me was very knowledgable & took her time looking at different frames with me. I would recommend this framing shop. Parking is obviously an added bonus. Thank you.

I have been using Framecraft for a number of years and always go to them when I need a painting framed. Having a bespoke frame created means that the pictures look great and are protected in perfect condition. This shop offers a wide variety of frames and will give advice on mounts, glass, style etc. I highly recommend.

We were able to finally go to a professional frame company after my bridesmaids bought me a voucher as a wedding gift. We were so excited to get some decent frames instead of the standard Ikea frame.
It is safe to say - we will never return.
We spent £120 on four standard A4 frames. No frills. When we went into the shop, the man that served us was incredibly arrogant and spoke very rudely about my bridesmaid that ordered the voucher, implying that she was disorganised and pestered them for the voucher. Even if this is true, there is no way a company should EVER speak about a paying customer

I recently had two pictures framed by Framecraft. They were quite large and delicate, but the company did an excellent job and contacted me quickly when the job was complete. The staff were lovely and really friendly, and the quality of their work really is second-to-none. I would definitely recommend this company! A BIG Five Stars for every aspect of their work!
