Our clinic is currently open. Osteopaths are classed as Allied Health professionals and under current government guidelines are allowed to be open to provide treatment to patients. The health of our patients is our primary priority and we are following stringent hygiene protocols and wearing full PPE.

Please phone for an appointment or book online. We are a highly skilled team of osteopaths based in Comber, Co Down, Northern Ireland. Established in 2003 we are a multi-practitioner clinic with a wide skillset specialising in back and neck pain, joint pain, paediatrics, cranial osteopathy and sports medicine enabling us to treat an extensive range of conditions.
Services
Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and manual treatment which, by correcting joint and tissue abnormalities to restore physical and emotional well being, makes it easier for a person's body to function normally and use its own recuperative powers more effectively. Osteopaths look at and treat the body as a whole, therefore aiming to address the causes of the problem and not just the presenting pain.
Pregnancy is a wonderful and unique experience and our bodies have an amazing ability to adapt to the changes and demands of pregnancy. Those changes include the softening of ligaments, weight increase and changes to posture. This can lead to additional pressure on joints in various parts of the body including the spine and pelvis.
Osteopathy is a gentle treatment suitable for babies and children at all stages of development. Babies' skeletons are softer than an adult's and osteopaths will therefore use gentle techniques such as cranial osteopathy when treating babies.

Our osteopaths are experienced paediatric osteopaths and hold specialist post graduate qualifications in paediatric osteopathy which has included working in an NHS premature baby unit and specialist paediatric clinic.
At your initial consultation the osteopath will take a detailed case history including the symptoms you are suffering at present, when they started and how they affect your everyday life. We will ask detailed questions about your general health, previous accidents or trauma, your medical history including previous operations or illnesses and other relevant areas of health such as emotional stresses.
Whilst many other health professionals, including GPs, consultants, health visitors and midwives recommend osteopaths you do not require a referral for treatment. Osteopaths are primary health care practitioners, trained in clinical diagnosis so do not require a doctor's diagnosis in order to treat.

Went to Dirk with a trapped nerve in my shoulder and was miserable. I couldn’t lift my arm and was in pain every day and night. Couldn’t put my clothes on without help . After four sessions it was free. I can lift my arm fully and no pain. My husband went with his back and is now pain free. Totally amazing. Highly recommend. 👍
