We are a dynamic, progressive team providing primary care to residents of Eyemouth, Burnmouth, Ayton, Coldingham, Reston, Grantshouse, Cockburnspath and surrounding areas. The practice has two surgeries to deliver care close to our more rural areas. We provide a drug dispensing service from our branch surgery in Coldingham to the residents of Reston, Coldingham, St Abbs and Cockburnspath.
We aim to provide personal, patient centered care whilst liaising closely with health and social care colleagues for the benefit of local residents. We hope this website is a helpful resource and demonstrates our determination to modernize the way in which we interact with the community we serve. Dear Patient, below you will find a copy of the letter sent out to patients from the Borders NHS relative to the Coldingham surgery and dispensary.

Services
We are incredibly proud to have a genuinely amazing selection of staff and team as a whole. You can find more information about who makes the practice up and put a face to the name of our GP's. I think this is a great area and I am really enjoying living the Borders lifestyle. At the weekend you may catch me out on my bike, walking along the coastal paths or trying to tame the garden.
All GP practices are contracted to provide "essential services", that is, basic treatment of ill people. Specialist services such as coil insertion and contraceptive implants are provided by appointment with some qualified clinicians. Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis, bowel problems and warfarin.
We are very proud to have some of the finest staff and health professionals working with us at the practice. We are equally proud to have a low staff turnover which provides consitancy for patiets. The Scottish Borders are blessed with some truly stunning scenery. Arguably the jewel in the crown is Berwickshire with its rolling hills and picturesque coast-line.
There are surgeries four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) for GPs. All surgeries for clinicians are by appointment only. Please call the practice promptly at 08.30 am if you feel you need to be seen. If you feel that your condition is urgent, please inform the receptionist at the time of calling.

Had to give 1 star but dont even deserve that - absolutely USELESS whether a patient or previous patient. Well behind the times, need to catch up to modern practices!! Not enough doctors to serve the community and apart from the odd 1 decent support staff and 1 (2 at a push) decent doctors absolutely not fit for purpose. Support staff extremely UNSUPPORTIVE - would have thought to be in this profession you would at least have some degree of a 'caring' attitude whereas a pre-requisite to work here is to be as abrasive as possible. UNHELPFUL is an understatement!!
Swerve this surgery and go to Coldingham

My partner has cancer, everytime he tries to make an appointment for his hormone injections they dont seem to be able to do it. Either he can't get an appointment or they haven't ordered the stuff. Even after being told they had when we have checked. Last time he was there the woman that dealt with him was so rude. What is the point of this place? These people chose this profession. The definately are not professional

I was waiting for the test results, when I called, the lady at the reception told me that the results were ok, then it turned out that the tests were not done because the labolatrium had too little material and I should repeat the tests!
the doctor calls back after 3 days!
I understand there is a pandemic, but besides covid, there are other diseases

I have only seen one doctor so my experience is limited, but although it seemed excellent that he spent so much time with me it was because he just talked and talked. I'm a very intelligent woman being used to being treated with respect by almost every GP I've seen but I felt condescended. belittled and really quite upset. I don't like accusing people of this because its an easy blow, but I felt that there was misogyny there -talking over me, lecturing me about things
I already know (which he'd have known he asked me any questions), and I felt 'told off'. I usually have male GPs so I don't think
