I've used to his place before, and in the past I have been quite happy with what they do. But this time when I went back to collect my picture, I was kept waiting for at least five minutes before anyone asked what I wanted. Even when he'd finished with his previous customer, the lad pottered about doing paperwork etc before asking me. When he finally did, and I told him I just wanted to pick up a picture, he pointed to a roll of tissue paper I had under my arm and said 'Oh, I thought you wanted all those framed'! Also, when I got my picture back home, I found they'd put the string on the back in

Really terrible service. Assistant, who has worked there for years, didn't want to get something out of the window unless I agreed to buy it without examining it. Clearly resented having to work, and told his junior colleague to fetch the item whilst he stood around pouting and being argumentative. Lost the £40 sale: I went to a different shop where they were helpful and understood how selling things works.

I have used this shop several times to have a picture mount made. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful, and on my last order they went above and beyond with a frame I brought in from a charity shop. They were able to make the mount I requested on short notice, in time for me to send it as a gift. They even altered the frame (not bought from them) so I could use it better in the future.
On each occasion I have received a phone call notifying me when my order was ready for pick up, and I find the prices for picture mounts acceptable. I will keep coming back to this shop for my picture

I recently acquired my late Father's war medals and was very keen to have them framed. I was served by the shop manager, who could not have been more helpful. She made excellent suggestions regarding the size/type of frame to use, also the colour of the mount and background. She recommended a glass which would reduce glare and protect the medals too. The framed medals are now proudly displayed in my home, and everyone who sees them comments what a great job the shop has done. Thanks.

Established for over 15 years and yet incapable of producing a simple custom sized frame!
After a THREE WEEK wait, due to the fact they do not do any in-house framing (they send your artwork away to be framed by someone else), I eventually received a frame with an aperture that was too big (bigger than the artwork!) and with a mount that appeared to have been cut with a spoon, and not even to the measurements I specifically requested. Even the glass wasn't cut straight!
Absolutely shocking.
My advice...go elsewhere, or use an online service such as ezeframe.

6 months and still no refund.
A simple job; Frame three magazines with a white border within a wooden frame for a birthday present. A few days before collection and the birthday, I received a call. There was a manufacturing problem (they would not accept they were responsible for manufacturing) and the frame would not be ready as promised. When I eventually went to pick up the frame, I discovered they had not understood my simple instructions. It's now September 2014, order was originally placed in late March and I am still waiting for a refund.
