In 1984 as a young engineering undergraduate in need of financial support Karl Wolstenholme began renovating old VW Beetles in his spare time. This rapidly grew into a very busy vehicle restoration company, Karly Kars.
Looking for a new challenge, and joined by his brother Nathan, Karly Kars took over the already established Redland Auto Service Centre in the mid 1990s, and with their unique blend of engineering and technical expertise coupled with a strong policy of honest business practice and a "fair price for a fair job" the business soon grew again into the friendly busy garage that is the Karly Kars of today.

The MOT is a fixed annual government test that every car over three years old must have. Hopefully it results in a pass certificate and you can enjoy another year motoring but in the event that your car does fail you will receive a detailed print out of exactly what items failed and a fixed quote to repair them, once we have carried out the work we can issue you with an MOT.

Tried to book a next day MOT at 4 30 pm. Had a response within 15 minutes confirming my appointment. Car dropped off at 8 30 am and MOT finished before 10 am. Guy was friendly and service was good. Overall, the best experience I've ever had at a garage.

I would give 0 stars if possible
This garage/mechanics who mot tested my car is either negligent or Deceitful fraudulent Crooks. I’m a single mother and they failed my car on numerous things which two other garages confirmed were not fails. They also totally over quoted me which made me. Thankfully as it prompted me to take it elsewhere. The parts they failed me on cane to under £200 and they wanted to charge me over £800 for parts and work. As the car failed the parts were orders and work was carried out on the faults. It wasn’t until the car was taken apart

Went there for my mot and service because they advertise as economical. Been told some parts need replacing and got charged with £450 bill at the end. They did it very quickly and that's about the only good thing.
The bill was listed in a confusing way and no one has offered to explain each component at all. They also decided to cut my key chain when they could have taken the key out without damaging it. Will stick to big chains from now on for a better service.

I called and asked to have my car fixed as there was something loose and rattling underneath the car. The guys Fixed it up in no time and did not charge me as it was such an easy fix! Other garages I doubt would have been so honest and generous. Will definitely be back when something more serious happens.

Awful service. I took my partners car to this garage for an MOT. They failed it on "Excessively worn headlights". This is a common problem on her particular model of car, the plastic outer lens becomes sun damaged and turns opaque which slightly reduces the beam strength. They told me that it would cost £350 including labour to replace the headlights. I went to Halfords, bought some T-Cut for a fiver and polished the lens' back to clear. Within 20 minutes the car was back to them, within an hour it had passed the MOT and was back to me... So they were going to charge me £350 for some headlight
