RED SUN KARATE are a traditional Shotokan Karate Club. Spirit, Technique, Power; our aim is for perfection of character; a sound mind in a strong and healthy body. Red Sun Karate are affiliated to World Traditional Karate Organisation (WTKO) under Chief Instructor Sensei Richard Amos. Our own Chief Instructor, Colin Needham, 6th Dan is a the Technical Director for WTKO England.
Please arrive in uniform as we cannot facilitate changing at the current time. Whilst toilet facilites are available, please "go" before coming to training - and we ask all parents to ask their children before coming to class to do same. Hopefully as we get back to training regularly again will be able to possibly add a specific "juniors only class "as previously, but this will depend on availability and numbers.
We ask this so we have important information such as name, address and contact details, plus, we need to ask everyone some basic questions regarding their general health as it is important that instructors are aware of any physical problems that a student may have e.g. During the first couple of months new members can pay weekly.
Red Sun Karate has some of the most experienced karate instructors in the Manchester area. Our senior instructors have all been training for more than 30 years, and have 100+ years experience of training. The other added bonus is that they have trained with many of the most famous karate instructors including: Kanazawa Sensei, Enoda Sensei plus most of the most highest ranking British Instructors of the last 30 years.

My 2 boys love going here. The instructor is very experienced. This is traditional karate at its best. I see the kids growing in confidence with each session. My boys are more disciplined and responsible now than when they first started. The health and fitness aspect is an added bonus. I highly recommend it. So much so that I've joined now myself.....and will enroll my little girl when she's 5yrs old.

There are sockets punched into the walls, the floors not flat or even, these pictures glam it up but it's not that glamorous, isnt the most ideal place for children's football but the space is an advantage and my lad loves going, I've no idea what the karate is like it's not my cup of tea, bin there done that got the black belt.
