Our founder, team leader and practice manager Emma is an avid animal lover, with five dogs, two cats, three guinea pigs, a clutch of chickens and a horse! She is a Veterinary Nurse with extensive experience in animal care in a career spanning over 20 years. She spent much of this time working in veterinary practices in the local area.
We provide practical grooming services for your dog, whatever the breed. Our experienced staff and specialist equipment mean that we can deal with toy breeds up to giant breeds and everything in between! At A-Z we use Emmi-Pet, an ultrasound system which cleans with 96 million micro-oscillations per minute and no harsh mechanical brushing. This gentle cleaning action breaks down bacteria, tartar and plaque which removes the basis for dental disease, and promotes healthy circulation in the mouth. Emmi-pet has been approved for veterinary use so you can rest assured that the procedure is perfectly safe for your dog.
We at A-Z are Kent's cat grooming specialists, with three members of our team qualified and experienced in cat grooming provision. We understand that cats and dogs don't tend to mix well and we therefore have separate facilities for your pet so that they don't experience any unnecessary stress during their visit with us.

We have been going here for many years. We generally get a good service, they do what we ask and our dog is well looked after. Always well groomed and I feel safe leaving him there knowing his health conditions will be considered. I do recommend A-Z to anyone considering them.

We took our Saluki who was in desperate need of a tidy up to A-Z as our usual groomer is poorly. She was quite fluffy with her feathers overlong. We requested that the fluffy coat be removed and the feathers tidied up. The first time we went to collect her it didn't look like she had been groomed at all but they were more than happy to do her again. We she was handed over the second time a complete hatchet job had been done to her chest, legs and feathers almost down to the skin. I was too shocked to say anything at the time and really what could I say, they had already been paid.

My mother has been using A-Z Animal Care for many years now, they provide a great service, her dogs always come back smelling clean, fresh and looking superb after a hair cut.
Her dogs never get stressed out being dropped off there, that is good sign that they are being treated well and looked after.
A-Z Animal Care are competitively priced and offer a wide range of services.

We took Cooper to A-Z Animal Care for his first ever groom and we couldn’t have been more pleased. He’s not very keen on the shower at home him so wasn’t sure how he would behave! However, I needn’t have worried the girls made a big fuss of him and gave him plenty of reassurance. The amount of dead hair they managed to get out of his coat was amazing. Thank you so much.

I took my dog here for the 1st time yesterday and can say without doubt it is the best groom he has ever had.
I got exactly what i asked for,(and it must have been a mission as previous groomer had let me down several times) he is usually awful with his feet being trimmed but he came back perfect i did not have to try and snip any long bits off.
I cant begin to say how happy i am, also he seemed happy and unstressed when i picked him up
I will not be going anywhere else

The girls are so lovely at A-Z! My bunny has some issues around her bottom area and needs it trimmed and cleaned regularly and they always do an amazing job! They are always so gentle and understanding and give me advice on how to keep her clean and happy in between appointments. Couldn’t recommend them enough, especially for bunnies! Our gorgeous dog went into A to Z Animal care today for her bath and grooming. When we returned to collect her she looked amazing, she was pleased to see us but was very laid back and really had enjoyed her pampering! Beautiful coat, they had spent time getting out all her loose hair and she smelt wonderful. We are always so pleased when we… collect her and the staff tell us how well behaved she is.

I took my toy breed Pom (2.2 kg weight) for a grooming, there I was recommended the teeth cleaning service, they told me it will be £75 for on the top of the grooming £50 +, as well I was told that it might take 2 or 3 session, later that day I went to pick up my dog and the young lady at the front desk told me that they've only done the front row (being the back, the molars teeth the most important for a dog and in any teeth cleaning), let's remember that my dog is a small breed pet and her from teeth aren't longer than 5 cm across* (see pics below). at the same time I was told for first* time

Took our 1 yr old dog Ernie to A-Z for the first time. We have only had Ernie for 3 mths having rehomed him. On arrival he was very nervous, didn’t want to go in and was shaking. By the time Chloe had finished… with him, he was happy, leaping around and playing. We even got sent a video of him in between his grooming. What a fantastic service, he looked great, smelt great and was one content dog. They took the time to settle him in and to find out exactly what it was we wanted. Having had other dogs in the past, this has to be the best grooming place we have ever been to. Thank you

We visited yesterday with our 10 year old Springer, she desperately needed her teeth cleaned as most attempts to do so at home had failed miserably. She has already had her teeth cleaned twice at the vets under anaesthetic but at her age We didn’t want to do this again. Even after just one visit the results have been amazing. Being a nervous doggie she was treated so gently and couldn’t have been in better hands. We’ve booked 2 more sessions currently and will certainly keep up with ongoing visits. Thank you so much.

Did a great job on our Chow today. Now going to make regular 8wk appointments and set up a Direct Debit as it seems the most efficient way of making sure we are booked in and don't 'forget' and leave it too long, great friendly staff who met us outside and took Mila in for the grooming session. Very happy owners.

The only dog groomers that our bichon freese isn't afraid of. She's 8 years old now and has been loving it for a 6 years now. They absolutely listen when it comes to what type of cut we'd like for her and give recommendations on when to do what. We always feel welcome and most importantly Jessie comes out wagging her tail off!
