There remains only a handful of companies over 100 years old founded in Bristol who are still trading, we believe we are the only one with links to heavy industry and engineering remaining. In 1925 the company moved to 76 Victoria St in the Temple area of Bristol, with the aim of offering first class representation for leading British manufacturers of engineering products throughout South Wales and the South West of England.

Based in Osaka, Japan with the European distribution facility in Germany, OTC Daihen are recognised as world leaders in the design, development and manufacture of state of the art Inverter welding machines.
Our welding machine and cutting equipment repairs, service and calibration department, is the corner-stone of our business. We established our service department in 1979, and have long believed that to offer such a repair facility is the minimum requirement demanded by our end-users when purchasing welding and cutting equipment.
We have carefully selected our suppliers of metal grinding, cutting and finishing discs on the basis that our customers will demand competitively priced, high quality products which will improve their productivity, fabrication quality and profitability. DRONCO Abrasives are our most popular supplier of abrasive cutting and grinding discs.
Since 1994 Philpott and Cowlin Ltd have been approved by Bereau Veritas to British standards Management System presently EN ISO 9001 2015 with scope of certification relating to the "supply and distribution of welding electrodes, wire and filler material with source lot of traceability".
