Carnside Bed & Breakfast
Carnside Guest House is surrounded by the beauty of the Giants Causeway, close to a vast array of attractions and activities to make your stay one to remember, including the nearby fun farm where children can enjoy both games and seeing various animals. Carnside Guest House is situated on a hill, with panoramic views, overlooking the Giant's Causeway, Portrush and Donegal.

The Giants Causeway is a world heritage site, famous for its six-sided volcanic stone formation. The locals love the coastline, with it's hidden treasures, it is indeed a walkers paradise. The coastal scenery is ever changing and the sunsets from the house are stunning. Our location on the North Coast of Ireland is perfect for sightseeing.
Services
Carnside Guest House and the surrounding dairy farm was bought by the Lynch family in 1954. My great grand mother Frances Lynch ran the guest house which at this point only had 7 rooms which could accommodate up to 10 people, providing 3 meals and 3 snacks each day for visitors if they were in. The guest house has remained in the Lynch family since then going to Frances's daughter Joan and then to her other daughter Alice.
All rooms have a TV, tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer. Three bedrooms downstairs suitable for elderly; one room suitable for disabled guests (twin room, accessible shower and WC has wheelchair access). Easy access by wheelchair into house and bedroom/bathroom. The large dining room can be used by visitors who wish to bring evening meals and beverages into the house.
Sight seeing is a must when visiting the North Antrim Coast of Ireland. Whether motoring, cycling, hiking or walking there are endless sights to see. We are still lucky enough to have un-congested roads along the North Coast which makes sight seeing by car really enjoyable. From the Bushmills Distillery to the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge to Mussenden Temple there's something for everyone.
Nearby is Portrush, a sea side resort, popular for decades, because of it's amusement parks and two beautiful beaches, plus various sporting activities, such as golf, tennis, surfing and horse riding. Five excellent golf courses are within easy reach (one Championship course - Royal Portrush). Water-sports, surfing, sailing, fishing and riding are all close at hand.
Carnside Guest House is situated half a mile (10 - 15 minutes walk) from the Giants Causeway. Travel on the A2 from Bushmills towards the Giants Causeway; after one mile turn left onto the B146. If travelling from Belfast and you have daylight time you can enjoy coming up the coast road instead of the inland road.

Of course it's not the Ritz or Waldorf, and that's most of the appeal. A small local family run guesthouse. It's a cute house near some of the most amazing scenery in Ireland, literally within relatively close walking distance of Giants Causeway. Ann, the host, was so kind and welcoming to me and made my stay perfect. Everything around was sold out so I appreciated the last minute accomodations. Ann even called the golf club to make me dinner reservations, as I was hungry and tired from driving all day. The views from the house are spectacular as well. While some may say the rooms could use an

Great location and breakfast. We didn’t interact with the staff too much. Maybe due to Covid. Stayed in family room with one double/3 single beds. Spacious. Clean. Great big window looking over the ocean. Room itself was a bit dark and dim. But was clean. We didn’t need it as our kids are older, but the toilet also came with child seats for the toilet, a nice touch. Shower was hot and clean. Suited what we were looking for to visit Giants Causeway.
