Subscan UDS complete full PAS 128 Utility Survey for designers and contractors, producing detailed guides so everyone working on a project understands exactly what they are dealing with when preparing and working on a site. Our utility surveys allow workers to establish what buried obstacles they may face before coming across them, minimising costly delays from unknown obstacles.
Subscan undertake Underground Utility Mapping surveys across a wide range of sites and developments to provide an accurate depiction of any site throughout the UK. That site could be property, an area of land or a defined boundary. This is scaled and detailed according to the spatial considerations and is the summary of the on-site data capture processes.
Developments, feasibility studies and most on site works require some sort of utility survey to establish the location of assets such as pipes and cables. The first step in utility location is to write to the utility affected by your project and request a plan of their apparatus. You could spend several weeks writing many individual letters to various utilities chasing up payments to these utilities and waiting on potential missing plans.
Category C Survey is a use of utility record data with site reconnaissance to match utility record with physical utility street furniture as a best fit. This survey is accompanied by a desktop utility report (survey type D). It will involve a site reconnaissance visit to identify features that may indicate the presence of a service such as; manholes, valves, utility markers, street furniture and historic excavation scars.

The driver of your vehicle in the photo needs taking off the road he has just pulled out in front of us nearly causing a major accident and then proceeded to “force” his way down chalons way in Ilkeston racing through pedestrian lights that are on red an absolute disgrace and not a good advertisement for your company.

Just got off M62 Hull, Pontefract. One of your vans has just undertaken my car with myself and my baby in and pushed back in front of me almost going into the side of my car forcing me to slam my breaks on. Therefore, the car behind almost crashed into the back of me. Luckily, I have the incident on my dash cam and will be passing this onto the police. It’s a disgrace that your vans are driving in this manner especially with a company name on the van.
