Services
Project size is not issue for our team. We have the safety experience, core skills, extensive knowledge base, labour force and materials capability to take on any project that our customers would like us to work with them on. Each individual project is approached using our robust and tested procedures to ensure that our safety and customer service remains of the highest standard, no matter what the size of project.
An essential element of most building projects, traditional tube and fitting scaffolding is used for most large through to small-scale building projects. Traditional scaffolding involves the use of boards and galvanised tubes and fittings. Using these materials we can create a range of structures compliant with TG20:13 or designed scaffolds.
System scaffolding is prefabricated into specific component parts. This means that the fitting is already manufactured into the scaffolding tube. Different types of systems are available from different suppliers and at Ducker & Young we have the availability and option for our clients to use various system types that are on the market today.
Temporary roofs offer more than just weather proofing. Installing temporary roofs can reduce the risk of working at height. Instead of laying individual sheets we use one, long sheet that is pulled through the scaffold on tracks. This makes erection easier in inclement weather. Beams are in place to span the roof and then plastic sheeting is secured around it to encapsulate it and make it weather proof.
In its basic form, hand rail edge protection is used to provide fall protection for both operatives and materials. Ducker & Young provide a minimum of a double handrail and toe board to meet the specific and stringent requirements of Health & Safety on our sites. The system can be secured directly to a building or as a fully independent system.
